Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre is located in the semi-rural suburb of Strathfieldsaye, just 7 km from Bendigo CBD, and is conveniently close to local schools and shops. The centre offers 98 places for children aged six weeks to six years and operates all year round, except for public holidays. Before and After School Care is available for children attending Strathfieldsaye and St Francis Primary School.
All rooms, from Nursery to Kindergarten, are designed according to the Early Years Learning Framework, providing sensory and play-based learning opportunities in a vibrant environment. This approach fosters growth and development through an emergent curriculum tailored to each child's individual needs and interests.
The Storypark platform, along with regular family nights, facilitates strong communication with parents, ensuring that cultural diversity is embraced and celebrated within the centre. Outdoor play areas include sandpits, herb gardens, a vegetable patch, a fort, fruit trees, and shaded spaces, all designed to enhance children’s awareness of their surroundings and the importance of sustainability.
A qualified cook prepares healthy, nutritious meals five days a week, accommodating children with specific dietary needs. Community involvement enriches the learning experience through events and activities, while daily art and music experiences encourage creativity.
We look forward to welcoming families to explore our centre and discover how we can collaborate to give every child the best possible start in life.
