Our Educators support our Preschoolers to learn more about the world around them, and their impact on others Increased language skills leads to greater collaboration in play, and a greater understanding of differences.
Our Transition to School Program is designed to develop learning dispositions, providing a fluid transition into Early Stage One of the Australian School Curriculum. Increased social and emotional confidence supports healthy risk taking, making predictions and ongoing resilience.
Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition
At Young Academics, we believe the first five years of a child’s life are critical for establishing healthy eating habits, exploring new foods, and meeting essential nutritional needs to support growth and development. Good nutrition not only enhances physical health but also boosts a child’s well-being, self-confidence, and focus.
We’ve developed our unique Nutrition Program in collaboration with a qualified nutritionist. This program is designed to help children understand the importance of healthy eating, hygiene, and physical activity. We encourage children to actively participate in meal preparation and serving, fostering a hands-on approach to learning about nutrition.
Our carefully crafted seasonal menu, which rotates every four weeks, is designed to meet 50% of your child’s daily nutritional requirements. It includes a variety of nourishing foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fish, chicken, dairy products, and more, ensuring children receive a balanced diet that supports their growth and development.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement
At Young Academics, we believe that strong partnerships between families and educators are fundamental to a child’s early learning journey. We prioritise open, consistent, and transparent communication with parents to ensure that every child’s individual needs, interests, and development are well supported.
Daily updates are shared through our secure online platform, giving families real-time insights into their child’s learning experiences, routines, and achievements. This allows parents to stay connected with what’s happening at the centre, while also opening up opportunities for meaningful conversations at home.
We actively invite parent involvement through events, learning celebrations, centre activities, and cultural experiences, because we know that children thrive when there is a shared commitment to their growth and wellbeing. Families are always welcome to share feedback, ideas, or simply spend time in our learning environments.
Whether it's during the daily drop-off, a parent-educator meeting, or a centre-wide celebration, our team is committed to building relationships based on trust, respect, and collaboration.

Upon returning at 3pm, the situation seemed unchanged, with the child still appearing unattended. Regarding administrative interactions, I had discussions with Maddy Langworth from the billing team about arranging a payment plan for remaining fees, aiming to settle by the next week. I explained my new job circumstances affecting communication availability. However, the enrolment was terminated, citing lack of response to a phone call, despite our prior arrangement discussion. I hope Young Academics Dharruk considers feedback on: 1. Support for distressed children in their care. As classroom sizes are so large and staff ratio's don't allow every child to be comforted when being dropped by their parent leading to children being left alone to feel unsafe in their unfamiliar environment. 2. Communication clarity and agreement on payment plans. Maddy should take further training to better understand the mount Druitt communities financial restrains they may be experiencing at time and not break agreed on plans that had not been broken. 3. Responsiveness to parents' circumstances. Although Maddy had tried to provide understanding on my specific needs she had made a payment plan and then cancelled it the next day because I was working and couldn't answer her phone call. Constructive feedback aims to highlight areas for improvement and I'd appreciate if the centre could look into these aspects to enhance care and communication with parents for better child outcomes!
