Welcome to Ai Kids Academy

At Ai Kids Academy Hornsby, a caring and qualified team of educators understand the significance of their role in children’s social, emotional, physical and neurological development. The team welcomes children from birth to 6 years into a warm and secure environment, and fosters respectful relationships that empower children’s unique voices.
Educators focus on building secure attachments in an inviting and comfortable space where children feel safe to explore and engage with their environment. Natural elements include light timber furniture, toys and baskets, while colourful rugs, cushions and banners help create a bright, cosy and stimulating space for play and learning.

As part of the centre’s holistic curriculum, children take part in the Munch and Move program, which focuses on healthy eating and physical activity. Educators encourage children to explore the outdoor yard and enjoy a range of balance and climbing equipment, building their gross motor, physical and social skills through fun and adventure.

Programs

The centre provides tailored programs for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Educators focus on building secure attachments and on social and emotional development, which helps foster children’s self-identity, independence and resilience.

School readiness

NSW Department of Education identifies four critical areas for a successful transition to school, including critical thinking/problem solving, independent learning/agency, resilience, and creativity. The centre recognises and embraces children's individual learning approach and helps children develop the essential skills for a smooth transition to the next phase of their learning journey.

STREAM

Educators deliver an exciting STEAM curriculum (science, technology, engineering, the arts and maths) for healthy, holistic development. The educators aim to create a culture of thinking, experimenting and questioning to support the development of vital learning skills including critical thinking, communication, creativity and collaboration.

Munch and Move

In line with the NSW Health initiative Munch and Move, educators promote physical activity and healthy nutritional habits for children from birth to 5 years. Nutritious meals are provided by the reputable Early Childhood food service Gourmet Kids.

Sustainability

The centre sees the environment as children’s third teacher. It incorporates natural elements into environments, and embeds sustainable practices into day to day learning. Children are encouraged to reduce, recycle, and reuse and introduced to themes of nurturing and caring for the environment.
