Edit July 2025: Unfortunately since posting this review, there has been a constant revolving door of staff members in the kinder rooms. All of the staff members mentioned below have since left and were the ones who made it a great place. There is now no consistency for the children, supervision is questionable and communication amongst staff is non existent. ----- We have been at Birches since it opened in 2023 and are very happy with it! My kids are always doing fun and exciting things and come home happy every day. The Director Shannon is amazing. She's always looking our for what is best for every family and is very responsive to emails. My kids especially love Laddy, Rachel, Sheshan and Kyra up in the kinder rooms. Laddy is the most dedicated kinder teacher I have ever met. She is amazing and treats every child like her own. The chef Chantelle makes the most delicious food and also takes the time to get to know the children and their families too. Keep up the awesome work Birches :) Read more

In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
