Would not recommend.

Our two year old daughter came home one day and told us that a teacher had struck her. She was able to name the teacher, used the word “snapping,” and demonstrated what she meant by slapping her own forearm. We asked her about this over the following three days, without leading or prompting, and she described the same thing each time. We reported this through the appropriate channels at the daycare. They reassured us but the subsequent investigation process was opaque and poorly managed. We were not kept informed at any stage even though we followed up multiple times ourselves - something that should not have been our responsibility. We were also led to believe in our initial interview with the investigator that the teacher would not be cleared to return. He mentioned that the case would be considered on the 'balance of probabilities' and that it would take something relatively definitive to overturn my daughter's account. He also said in his experience in cases like this the teacher is usually dismissed. This became our anchor point and the reason we started sending our daughter back while the investigation was ongoing. Despite this, the teacher has been cleared to return. We were informed that the evidence was “unsubstantiated,” even though it included a clear and consistent account from a two-year-old (which was recorded on video). We only became aware of the outcome by chance, after noticing the teacher’s photo had been placed back on the room door. When we raised this with the centre manager, we were told that she had intended to inform us but had been too busy. This alone demonstrates the lack of seriousness with which both the incident and our concerns were treated. While there are some excellent educators at the centre, we have been incredibly let down by the management and by the handling of this process. As a result, we no longer feel confident entrusting our child to their care and have withdrawn her from the centre.

My 18 month old son attends YMCA Truganina South Childcare center and we are very happy with the care he receives. The educators are kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. The environment is safe, clean, and welcoming, and my son has settled in beautifully. Highly recommend this centre.

Starting childcare for the first child is a daunting experience for every parent but the staff at ymca truganina gently helped us through all our concerns and reassured us every step of the way not just with words but by also by helping us understand the different phases our child was going through while settling. We love that the play area is open to all children and staff and so everyone gets the chance to have access to a large area and become friends with many educators. We feel at peace dropping off our child knowing she’s in good hands and taken care of. The staff are diligent with any requests and also cater to any special requirements. The kids all seem to have a great relationship with the educators which is something we noticed when we first started looking for a center. We are now at potty training age and we’ve been met with so much support and patience in the process. Overall feeling lucky to have found this place!

YMCA ELC offers children supportive and nurturing relationships with caring educators and a positive environment where my daughter feels safe and comfortable. The centre has also given my daughter and myself a best friend for life ☺️

YMCA has been a great experience for my child. The staff is warm and caring, the environment is safe and clean, and the cirriculum keeps my child engaged. Staff and management here are very supportive and approachable. Akansha cooks fresh and delicious meals for children on site. A special thanks to Jasmeet, Rosyln and Snober 👏

A great environment for the kids. It's clean and spacious with lots of activities without making kids feel overwhelmed. Healthy and nutritious food is cooked on the site, educators love their job, and management team is supportive and approachable. No screen time. Bad language or misbehaviour is corrected on the spot and overall kids are very happy and enjoying their time.

Highly recommend this place!!! My kids love this ELC and the sense of familiarity. The educators are very engaging our kids always come home with something new that they share at dinner time. This place has also started longtime friendships not only for our kids but also for us, us parents.

I am thrilled to provide feedback on the exceptional care and education my son has received at YMCA Truganina South Early Learning Center. Since moving to Australia a year ago, we have felt welcomed and supported by the entire team, particularly Sherryl, his classroom teacher, and Jasmeet and Roslyn in administration. The Early Support Team has also been fantastic. The center's emphasis on good food, cleanliness, and open communication has been impressive. Most importantly, my son has settled in beautifully and feels at home, thanks to the nurturing environment and dedicated staff. I am grateful for the love, care, and education he receives daily.
