Some of the activities at Kindy Patch include: 

• Incursions: special guests come into the centre to share their knowledge with the children, such as librarians, emergency service workers, or animal experiences.
• Excursions: the children take outings to build their sense of community, to places such as local aged care facilities, local primary schools, parks and shops.
• Music and movement programs: designed to help develop fundamental skills, and to develop an understanding of music. 
• Cooking classes: the educators enjoy teaching the children how to prepare age appropriate meals and snacks, which encourages little ones to try new things and develop a love of healthy food.
• Sustainability program: the educators teach the children about recycling, conserving water, growing food and looking after the planet.
• School readiness program: the educators seek to transition the children from home to school life with a specialised school readiness program, led by a qualified team of educators. 

Kindy Patch boasts qualified early childhood professionals and educators who provide educational learning programs based on children’s interests, strengths, abilities and choice.

The dedicated team of educators are experienced and understand the importance of extending on children’s home-life experiences.  Individual programs are developed for each child in order to assist with and build upon their learning, understanding, communication, self-esteem and confidence.

At Kindy Patch the educators are passionate about fostering encouragement and kindness. The team works together to create an inclusive, educational environment that feels like a home away from home for the children in their care.

The centre sees every child as unique, and caters the program to their interests and age. Parents are welcome to be involved in the development of their child’s program, through feedback and regular communication. Educators provide updates and information about each child’s day through the centre’s free parent app.

All of the seasonal meals and snacks are provided for the children by the centre’s in-house chef. Food is used as a way to teach the children about the benefits of healthy eating.

The centre offers a varied menu that meets the guidelines set out by Nutrition Australia. The children are offered breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. 

Children who attend a full day at the centre will be offered at least 50 per cent of their recommended daily dietary intake. The centre chef runs cooking classes with the children, where they learn about how to prepare healthy food.
