Meet the team

Meet the team

Nido Early School is committed to quality care and learning delivered by an outstanding team of degree-qualified teachers and skilled educators. The team inspires and challenges each other, working together to collectively offer the very best in childcare.

The service hires only passionate and committed team members. It provides a comprehensive induction and onboarding program. All staff also have enhanced learning and development opportunities through the ECA Learning Hub, an online professional learning platform designed specifically for early childhood education and care professionals.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

Nido Early School understands that no one knows a child like their family. The service actively engages with parents and family members to ensure children have the very best care.

The team works with family members at enrolment and also regularly seeks updates on children’s schedules and current interests. This helps them to develop tailored programs that meet individual educational, physical, cultural and emotional needs.

Parents are welcome to chat with staff at drop off and pick up, and to contact the team at any stage via phone, email or the service’s ‘Playground’ App. The service regularly sends updates on children’s progress, and photos and videos of children during play and learning activities.

With an ‘open door policy’, parents are welcome to join in activities and events, and to share breakfast with children at the popular breaky bar.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

The curriculum at Nido Early School is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Designed to support the children in the early years and as they prepare for the transition to school, the curriculum is play-based and engaging.

The curriculum is delivered in three stages:

Nursery (6 weeks to 18 months)

In the nursery, the children are nurtured as they develop early connections with their educators. They read stories, play and explore the world around them.

The children start to develop their sense of identity and understand that they are part of a broader community. They start to explore their feelings and emotions and also try new things. Developing early communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal is also a big focus for the children in this age group.

Toddlers (18 months to 3 years)

The educators encourage the toddlers to develop their independence and autonomy. They have opportunities to build their social skills and early friendships while also learning to regulate their emotions.

As the children take safe risks in their learning, the educators also encourage their problem solving skills. Self-expression and communication are also important.

Kindergarten (3 years to school)

The Kindergarten curriculum helps to prepare the children for the big transition to big school. The children have a strong sense of self and understand their role in the community. They participate in peer activities and understand their own emotions.

They are always questioning how things work and practising their verbal and listening skills as strong communicators.

Updated Thursday 5 March. My son have been bite again and staff do nothing about it said there was no blood and is was little bite... Does this look like little bite to you ? I think every parents deserve a call immediately after incident happen but this is not the case. Incident happened at 10:45am but your staff called us at 1:40pm... And most will be upsetting to see the bite mark that big on the child arms. My son now has nightmare and crying in his sleep which he never do that before ... He used to love to go childcare but not after first incident. He doesn't want us to leave him ...... I expect nothing beside the safety of my child's and well-being and your centre have fallen. The staff behaviour in toddler room1 is disgusting. Act like is was normal... We are not sending our son back there anymore. And to the staff whoever threaten us to call a police just because my husband used a swear word. ( I'm apologies for him use one swear word as he shouldn't have ) but please do so and I'm happy to provide additional information... ( We haven't break any law ) You guys do nothing to the kid who have bite my son.. it's not first time. There's no discussion My son attended centre not long ago ( from September 2025 ) everything was good, staffs are lovely , previous manager (Tahlia) was so helpful and friendly. She was there almost every time when we drop my son off Since have new manager in (Jacqueline) my son got bite and we suppose to have meeting with her (as agreed on email) then we show up at childcare the front desk said manager is not at centre she on personal leave.... like why was you even agree on meet ? You don't even call to let us know. Such a disappointment and rude behaviour. I didn't expect it from Manager of childcare centre at all. Your personal leave are not more important than my son's well-being and you never apologise to us for not showing up is disgusting. And staff in the room where my son have attended had been change (or have new people?) But now is bad management. Keep forgetting stuff and lost and not been found... Such a disappointing....

Response from the owner 05 Mar 2026

Hi Sunny, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, as we truly appreciate the opportunity to listen and reflect. We understand how important consistency is for you and your child. Firstly, we sincerely apologise for the missed meeting. The Executive Service Manager became unexpectedly unwell and had to take leave at short notice. We should however have contacted you to let you know, and we regret that this did not occur. In relation to the concerns raised about lost items, we have reflected on this with our team and are strengthening our processes to reduce the likelihood of this happening again. There were a number of team changes recently, which we understand can feel disruptive for families. Since then, we have been carefully rebuilding the team with educators who strongly align with our values and who provide the stable, nurturing environment children deserve. We are also pleased to share that a highly experienced Executive Service Manager will be joining our early school shortly, bringing renewed stability and consistency. If you would like to share any further feedback, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you. Please contact our People & Quality Leader directly or our Support Office on (02) 9712 7444 to discuss this further.

When I enrolled my son here, it was an absolutely fantastic place from the reception to the kinder rooms. Everyone was so friendly. And the educators and those who are working with the kids are Angels. I can't fault them at all. You can really see that they have a passion for it. On the other hand, the people at the front desk (reception) who were there when we started, I don't see them anymore. They are replaced with a few that look and sound like they don't want to be there at all, except Nikia. Reception should be the first point of contact where you feel welcome. So disappointing

Response from the owner 14 Nov 2025

Hi Richelle, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. Our goal is to provide a nurturing and positive environment for every child and family, and therefore we would love the opportunity to understand more about your experience so that we can address this feedback. Please contact our ESM or Support Office on (02) 9712 7444 at your convenience to discuss this matter further.
