About the curriculum
The play-based curriculum at Bright Early Learning Centre aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework and supports the children in their discovery of the world around them. The children participate in a mix of excursions, intentional teaching experiences and child-led activities to provide a holistic early education.
The curriculum at the centre is delivered across six rooms and stages:
- Twinklers (6 weeks – 15 months): for the youngest learners, the centre offers a cosy and peaceful environment to support the children’s early discoveries and milestones.
- Beamers Junior (15 – 22 months): with creative play experiences, the children build their communication skills, imagination and creativity. They have opportunities to practise their social and language skills as they gain confidence in their place in the world.
- Beamers Senior (22 – 30 months): the children learn basic self-help skills and immerse themselves in parallel and group play activities.
- Starbucks Junior (30 – 39 months): the activities challenge the children’s creative thinking, engaging in open-ended experiences and problem-solving activities.
- Starbucks Senior (3–4 years Pre-Kinder): with a focus on emotional skills, the children learn to develop empathy and nurture early friendships. They also practise their problem-solving and communication skills.
- Sunshine (4-5 years): through STEM, Bush Kinder, Community Projects and other activities, the children prepare for the transition to big school.
