Our son has been attending Everton Park Early Learning and Development Centre for over 18 months, and while there have been a few ups and downs, we remain confident in the team and the direction they are heading. He’s a high-energy, outdoorsy kid, and the centre has been a great fit for him, especially when it comes to encouraging outdoor, risky play in a safe and supportive way. He’s formed strong bonds with his teachers, and it’s clear they understand and care about him as an individual. Each educator brings something different, and he’s responded well to their warmth and consistency. There’s no denying the centre has gone through a period of change. Staff turnover has been noticeable, but in our experience, that is not unusual for early learning. What matters more is how the leadership responds, and here, they have made a real effort to stay transparent, open to feedback, and focused on doing right by the children and families. One thing that stands out is how actively they invite parent input. There is a genuine willingness to listen, talk things through, and adjust when needed. That openness, especially during challenging times, has helped maintain a sense of trust. It shows us the team genuinely wants to rebuild and return to the strong, community-focused centre that first drew us in. No place is perfect, but Everton Park ELD Centre is trying, and we’ve seen firsthand the care and intention behind their work. We are hopeful for what is ahead and grateful for the relationships our son has built there. Read more

This centre used to be excellent – not anymore We’ve been with this centre for quite some time, and I used to be really happy with the service. The staff were friendly, the communication was great, and I trusted that my child was in good hands. Sadly, since the new management team took over, things have changed a lot – and not for the better. The enrolment and admin process is now really slow and confusing. It feels like no one knows what’s happening, and communication is poor. One of the biggest worries is how often the educators are changing. My child is always saying goodbye to someone he just started trusting. There are too many new and agency staff, and they don’t always know the routines or the children well. This lack of consistency is really upsetting for my son and affecting how comfortable he feels at the centre. Another issue is hygiene and toileting. My child is toilet training, but he’s come home in wet pants multiple times, and sometimes with rashes from what looks like sitting in urine too long. That really worries me. One time, I had to ask four different staff members just to find a spare pair of pants — no one knew where anything was, which shows how disorganised things have become. The incident reporting is also not reliable. I’ve found bruises or injuries on my son that weren’t mentioned when I picked him up. Only when I chased them up did someone explain or give me a report. It makes me wonder how many other times things have happened that I wasn’t told about. This used to be an excellent, well-run centre that I trusted completely. Now, I feel let down and worried. I really hope they take this feedback seriously and make some big changes — our children deserve better care and better communication. Read more

My child was seriously injured and they failed to follow procedures and did not ring my husband or ring my emergency contacts when they could not reach me as my phone was switched off as I was in a meeting, and they didn’t leave a phone message. My child was in so much pain and very upset for almost 4 hours until they reached me. When I arrived my child was sitting by alone without any staff looking after my child or comforting my child. This is not acceptable and the centre should be reviewed and investigated. They should not be operating. They failed their duty of care. They told me that they didn’t ring my husband because they never met him.!! There is no excuse to ring my husband or my emergency contacts. This was very traumatic for my child and for myself. I am still scared and traumatised. I’ve had restless sleep over it. I took my child out of there and don’t trust or have faith in them to look after my child or other children there. There was a high turnover of staff when I was there. I witness one staff crying after coming out of the office, whom left and never returned. I also saw another staff quite upset on afternoon and left the centre also. One senior staff was also very rude and not accommodating for my child’s needs when I provided a medical letter. The centre security is quite poor where anyone can just come through the gate and front door. There’s no security at all. There are also risk and safety hazards throughout the centre especially with their sliding doors and steps. The centre makes children sit on the dirty door mats rather than providing a clean mat to sit and eat on. It’s disgusting. Especially when it’s been raining and the children have been playing in the mud. Be wary. They failed their duty of care. Can you trust them with your beloved child? Read more

My daughter has attended Everton park childcare centre since she was 18months and is now her final kindy year. She has loved every minute of it and as long as she is happy, we are too. We love the nature play component. We love that she gets muddy on rainy days, we love that she propagates seeds and feeds the chickens (and while she is at it, learns about the cycle of the egg and the chicken). The staff love the kids and the director has been a God send to us. I joke that he will need to come along to school next year so I can hand my daughter over to him so I’m able to leave. (She will usually only go to him). We will miss the lovely community atmosphere that has been created at this centre and the wonderful relationships that we have formed when our daughter starts school. Read more
Hi Beth, Thanks for your kind words and endorsement of Everton Park Child Care and Development Centre. We continue to do all we can to provide the best in care and education for all children here, and are thankful that you and so many families give us the opportunity to do that for their delightful children. It's a great testament to the whole team here that the centre has been rated "Excellent" by the regulatory authority over the past 9 years and we strive to maintain that rating every day. Although you and your daughter will miss the centre, I'm sure she is well prepared for her entry into formal school and we wish you all the best for the coming years. Our children all attended EPCCDC over the last 9 years and we feel absolutely grateful to have had the most wonderful childcare experience. It is such a big decision, choosing a child care centre. From the moment we walked into EPCCDC we knew it was a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for our little ones. It was not too overwhelming for our sensitive, oldest child - no bright, multi-coloured furniture in sight and the walls/ceilings aren't completely plastered with colourful pictures and posters. It is just so pleasant, lots of natural items, loose parts play and the best natural outdoor environment for the kids to play in. Trees to climb, mud to play in (they encourage this!) and they even safely make small campfires in winter - such an awesome experience for the children. The staff are truly passionate about caring for children and we know from all our years attending the centre that management are highly selective about the staff they choose to hire. I have no doubt that you can trust EPCCDC with the care of your child. We will miss this place so much! Read more
