About Kidz Place Early Learning Centre

Kidz Place is a CCS-approved provider.

We are a small centre which enables us to know the children and their family more intimately. Kidz Place ELC is set within beautiful large natural gardens which sets us apart from centres in the area. Our garden is naturally shaded for protection from our harsh Australian sun which gives the children a park environment to explore. Our garden is a large grassed play area so your child can walk, run, jump, crawl and explore.

We have two separate buildings, the Mainhouse and the Preschool. The Mainhouse includes our Cuddly Koalas Room (0-2 years), Playful Possums Room (2-3yrs), which is comforting, homely and inviting. The Preschool room is an open plan classroom for our 3 - 4 years Wombats and our 4 - 5 years Emus.
Our Educating team range from young adults to mature aged educators who are grandparents themselves. We believe it is important to have a range of ages as wisdom and creativity can be brought forwards as strengths to form our amazing team. The majority of our team members have been with Kidz Place for several years, over 90% are Diploma qualified, thus creating a stable and nurturing environment for children.

Kidz Place ELC runs to our Mission Statement, Code of Ethics, Industry Regulations, annually updated Values (Philosophy), our Programming Goals for intentional teaching, Early Years Learning Framework, Curriculum, National Quality Standards and the centre’s Policies and Procedures.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At Kidz Place, we recognise and respect the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Bidjigal people, on whose land we build strong foundations for lifelong learning.

We believe that every child is unique, capable, and full of potential. We foster secure, respectful, and nurturing relationships, enabling children to feel confident and safe in their environment. Through a play-based learning approach, we support each child's emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development, helping them become competent, resilient, and independent individuals.

We actively promote a child-safe environment, where every child’s voice is valued. We follow a “one incident is one too many” approach, always striving to reflect, learn, and improve our practices. Our team is committed to continuous growth, learning from challenges, and working toward excellence in everything we do.

Our practice is guided by families, children, and the broader community. We listen carefully and collaborate meaningfully to provide a learning environment that reflects children’s interests, culture, and strengths. We recognise families as children’s first teachers and value the partnership we share.

We are proud to operate as an ethical service that upholds all government regulations, frameworks, and quality standards, including the National Quality Framework (NQF). Our values are grounded in honesty, fairness, inclusion, and professional integrity across all levels of our work.

We celebrate and honour diversity, champion equity, and lead with empathy and compassion. Through meaningful community connections, we nurture a welcoming environment where every child and family is seen, valued, and belongs.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

At Kidz Place we follow the National Early Years Learning Framework Curriculum (EYLF) which encompasses all the interactions, experiences, routines and events planned and unplanned, that occur in an environment designed to foster children’s learning and development.

ʻBelonging, Being and Becoming’ is the goal of this Framework. Belonging relates to connections and relationship, Being relates to individuality of beliefs, values, interest and knowledge and Becoming relates to learning and reflecting.

This curriculum provides children with self-confidence towards their learning experiences encouraging their interests in the skills required for life-long learning. The focus in the EYLF on respect for children as competent and capable learners from birth and acknowledgement of childhood as a valued stage of human development are important principles.

At Kidz Place we support the child with the opportunity to experiment and use their own ideas. All timing is child focused, so children can reach their full potential in their own time. We turn children’s strengths into observations in focus on the EYLF learning outcomes.

These learning outcomes are based on five principles of the EYLF:

  • Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships
  • Partnerships
  • High expectations and equity
  • Respect for diversity
  • Ongoing learning and reflective practice

Kidz Place practices are based on our Philosophy, Mission Statement, Childcare Code of Ethics, Childcare Regulations, Programming Goals for intentional teaching, Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and our centre Policies and Procedures. Our Policies have been produced from input from the children, parents, Educators and other external bodies within the community.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Meals are catered daily by Kids Gourmet Food. We provide morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. We share our weekly menus in the OWNA app.

We are a Halal centre and can cater to dietary, religious, or allergy requirements if specified one week before enrolment.

About Kids Gourmet Food (KGF)- Information For Parents

We cook and provide fresh, nutritious, homestyle meals for children in childcare every day. We’re qualified chefs and we’ve been refining and fine tuning our menus since 2002.
The early years in a child’s life are instrumental in developing positive, long-term eating habits. Exposing young children to a healthy, diverse diet not only gives them the best start in life, it helps secure their future health, development and wellbeing as they grow up.

We use high-quality, fresh ingredients and a broad range of flavours and textures to create meals that meet – and often exceed – the latest nutritional guidelines for children in care.

Healthy catering for children
We work with nutritionists and dieticians and consult with national advisory groups to ensure the highest nutritional standards. In our six-week rotational menu, your children’s meals contain food from the five food groups recommended by the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

Our healthy and balanced meals include a variety of:

Fresh vegetables and legumes
Seasonal fruit
Wholegrains and seeds
Lean fresh meat and fish
Dairy options
Our menus also offer a wide selection of fresh fruit and raw vegetables with morning and afternoon tea, as well as steamed, fresh vegetables at lunchtime.

Encouraging a love of food
When children are growing up, mealtimes are not solely about nutrition. They’re a time to explore a world of new flavours and textures and to enjoy a positive and sociable eating experience that will encourage them to make their own healthy choices when they’re older. We are truly passionate about passing on our own love of food by offering a diverse and creative menu that captures children’s interest. We also work with centre staff to promote an environment where mealtimes are one of the most important parts of the day.

We couldn’t be happier with Kidz place early learning childcare centre. The educators are incredibly caring, patient, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing and development. From day one, our child felt safe, happy, and excited to attend each day, which gave us great peace of mind. The centre provides a nurturing and stimulating environment with engaging activities that support learning, creativity, and social skills. Communication with parents is excellent—we’re always kept informed about our child’s progress and daily activities. It’s clear that the staff truly love what they do, and it reflects in the positive, welcoming atmosphere. We highly recommend this childcare centre to any parent looking for a supportive, trustworthy, and high-quality early learning environment for their child.

Kidz Place has beautiful and warm educators who truly love the children who attend. My daughter attended Kidz Place from 1 years old, and my son will be attending next year. The educators are truly invested in helping your child socially and emotionally; they also create engaging and personalised lessons to differentiate the pre school curriculum. I would highly recommend.
