Dear Ash Gill, Families who get CCS must make a co-contribution to their child care fees. This is a requirement under Family Assistance Law. They do this by paying the difference between the provider’s fee and the CCS amount which is known as the gap fee. The gap fee payment method will be Direct Debits only. If families donot setup Direct debits, we are unable to claim CCS. Banks and financial institutions charge fees for processing direct debit transactions. It was business decision of our organisation to pass on these charges to the families. More than 2 weeks notice was provided to families regarding this change. We informed you about the cost of these transactions per month and we never made any statement about your spendings . We advised you that it is not financially viable for our organisation to cover this additional cost as business expenses have increased a lot recently already. We have rights to increase our fees provided enough notice is provided to families. We can change our policies and procedures and two weeks of notice was provided to change Fee Policy. The changes have been implemented to ensure transparency, streamline administrative processes, and maintain the quality of care we provide for your children. We kindly request your attention and cooperation in adhering to the new fee policy. We understand that changes in fee policies can be an adjustment, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement these updates. Our aim is to maintain a fair and sustainable financial system that supports the high-quality care and education we provide to your children.
