Honesty, I could write a lot but I’ll just mention the two things that mostly upset me. The staff turnover is non stop. My children would love an educator and feel comfy to be dropped at kindy and within a couple of months they would be gone and I’d have to try and help them understand why they won’t see this important person to them ever again. It got depressing. Some would leave just suddenly, be gone without a word. Even the office ladies would constantly change. You’d send an email about your child and get a long AI response back, it didn’t feel personal, like they even heard you. It didn’t feel like a nice community. Always new faces. Always dropping your child with a stranger, mostly foreign, which is obviously fine but sometimes you just want to have a chat about your child and you could see this was just a job, there wasn’t a motherly feel to most educators. So my biggest concern and in my opinion is dangerous and a huge no, no in bigger centres. Often, nearly always there was one staff member supervising, (mostly in my 2-3 year olds room) in the afternoons from around 4pm, this a serious child safety issue, having at least two educators present is so important, not only for the kids safety and emergencies, but also for accountability around child protection, you always hear of the horror stories happening when it’s one educator, some states I believe it’s actually illegal to only have one.. I would mention this to them when they would email the “give us feedback” emails, but saving money on staff maybe is more important than keeping the kids safe, because for a year after mentioning it a few times, it’s was always the same. Anyway we pulled them out and keep them at home because now because they refuse daycares which is sad. I went to a party recently and that mum and another too had also done the same, I thought that was interesting.

I cannot recommend Benowa Early Learning Centre highly enough. My child has had a tough time at daycare due to frequent sickness (I know what your thinking, no it’s not a grubby centre, he has special needs and is prone to them.) We had a major transition when we moved interstate and he started at the Centre a week after his second birthday, having never been in daycare before, I was beyond anxious about leaving him in someone else's care as I returned to work. However, from day one, he immediately bonded with two of his educators, which was a huge relief for me. Even though those educators moved away, the other staff were incredibly caring and committed to helping my son feel comfortable. They took the time to understand his needs, especially during drop-off when it is hardest for him. The educators have always been incredibly responsive to my specific instructions, whether it’s about his medication, shoes, or ensuring food is left for him when we run late after appointments. While there are occasional little things like missing socks—something that happens in every daycare and even in my own home—it’s a minor issue that doesn't overshadow the outstanding care and attention my child has received. I wholeheartedly recommend Benowa Early Learning Centre and would definitely send any future children there. Their dedication to each child’s well-being and growth is something that stands out and I truly appreciate the level of care my child has received.

Unfortunately a few educators let the rest down Incompetent and unqualified to stay composed in stressful settings

The centre is amazing☺️ The educators are all very professional, friendly and very happy to listen and provide support when needed it. Miss Julianni makes the yummiest food (according to our son). They make sure they change the menu according to the season and can confirm they follow a healthy balanced diet (I am a nutritionist). We really love that our son is busy through out the week on different activities such as gardening, yoga and gymnastics. All this activities are included, but they also offer extra activities at additional cost such as soccer. They are also great at communication and transparency. Miss Jo is always available for a chat. We also love how important is for the management team to keep the centre interesting for the kids by constantly rearranging the main entrance with books and activities.

3 of my children have all went here and loved it, very warm staff, always greeted with a smile, they are gentle & kind with all the children, the 3 ladies at the front desk are always there to help with any queries you have, I’d highly recommend Benowa early learning centre your little one is in safe hands 🙌
