We feel so incredibly lucky to have found this amazing daycare. Our two girls attend - one in the Kindy classroom and one in the Toddies class. Every member of your staff is wonderful, and their kind, caring nature creates an exceptionally nurtured learning environment. We truly appreciate how the care is personalized; it is clear that the team makes every effort to tune into each child’s individual needs and support them in the best possible way. The program you offer is outstanding!! From the soccer and dance classes to the library visits, community garden outings, and Spanish lessons—not to mention the endless yummy baking—our children are so fortunate to have such exciting activities throughout the day. The facility is so spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor opportunities, the place is always clean, and feels less like a centre and more like a home where the staff feel like family. Thank you for everything you do and for the wonderful community you have created at Southport Junior Campus ❤️

About Southport Junior Campus

Welcome to Southport Junior Campus!

The next generation child care where highly experienced educators bring growing children and great learning experiences together.

At Junior Campus Childcare and Kindergarten we believe that children are the future, and the better we teach them today, the better the world will be tomorrow. That’s why every child we welcome into Junior Campus engages in learning experiences designed to nurture a sense of self, and an understanding of the world.

Families are our most valued partners in their child’s early years education. We actively listen to and learn from our families in order to acknowledge and support them in their role of nurturing their children.

We believe that creating a community is not only of benefit to the children in our care. Families and our people are part of the interwoven fabric that makes our campus community a place to be a genuine part of.

We see our campus as a place for guidance, support and connection for every person that is part of our community.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

We believe the way a child experiences the world in their early years, influences the way they see and treat it in later life. It’s these insights which guide our educators and informs the learning opportunities we give every child enrolled in our campus.
We believe:
That today’s children will shape tomorrow’s world,
That the best experiences are the greatest lessons,
Children have the world at their feet and the future in their hands,
And that every experience makes a world of difference.

- The Southport Junior Campus Team

Meet the team

Meet the team

Educators at Southport Junior Campus ensure that children feel safe, supported and challenged to learn new things and participate in new experiences. The dedicated, diverse group of educators seek to make sure that the environment is inviting, natural, stimulating and engaging, and that it reflects the children’s personalities and interests. Educators forge strong bonds and build relationships with the families at the centre, to ensure that the children feel right at home. Parents can access photos and updates about their child’s day through the centre’s free app.

Educators strive to create a calm, comfortable environment where each child feels safe. The highly trained team of educators are hand-picked to support the children and their learning. Educators value their centre’s connection to the local community, as they understand that sharing the history and culture of the area is a powerful way to give the children a sense of belonging and connection.

Educators want to give children the best possible start on their next steps at school, which is why they focus on the children's social development, confidence and independence at a young age. The high quality program helps children become active in their own learning and sees them evolve into confident, creative and successful learners.

Programs

Programs

Our program provides children with opportunities to learn beyond the classroom and connect with their local community. Children regularly participate in excursions to places such as the local school and community garden, helping them build confidence, develop community connections and experience learning in real-world environments. We also welcome a range of exciting incursions throughout the year, including dance, sports programs and other educational experiences that introduce children to new interests, skills and ideas. These experiences complement our everyday program and give children plenty of opportunities to try something new, stay active and learn through hands-on experiences.

Health & nutrition

Health & nutrition

Mealtimes at Junior Campus are an important part of the children’s day and provide valuable opportunities for connection, learning and developing independence. Children enjoy their meals together with their educators, building social skills, practising self-help skills and developing positive mealtime habits in a relaxed and supportive environment. Educators use these opportunities to talk with children about food, nutrition, healthy choices and where our food comes from.

We provide nutritious, chef-designed meals and snacks through Kids Gourmet Foods, with a varied menu prepared specifically for children and conveniently finished and served fresh onsite each day. Children are also given opportunities to be involved in food-related experiences, helping them learn about different foods, healthy eating and nutrition in a hands-on and engaging way.

We believe positive experiences with food from an early age help children develop healthy relationships with eating. All allergies, dietary requirements and intolerances are carefully catered for, with individual needs communicated to our team and considered throughout mealtimes.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

Our Toddies program focuses on supporting children through this exciting stage of growth, curiosity and increasing independence. Through hands-on, play-based experiences, children are encouraged to develop their physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language skills. Educators support children as they build confidence with skills such as walking, climbing, self-help, early communication, imaginative play, rhymes and counting, while providing a safe and engaging environment for exploration.

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Southport Junior Campus — truly the best childcare we could have ever hoped for. Over the past two years, this place has been so much more than just a daycare; it’s been a second home for our daughter.

From day one, we were welcomed into a warm and friendly environment where the staff genuinely care about each child’s happiness and emotional wellbeing. Everyone is so lovely, and I can’t express enough how grateful we are for the amazing educators who cared for our toddler with such love and dedication.

A special thank you to Miss Kayla, Miss Mary, Miss Ella, Miss Hollie, Miss Nataly, Miss Rosie, Miss Mell, Miss Sally, Miss Emelia and even those who are no longer there — we’ll never forget the kindness and care of Miss Emma, Miss Ayla and Miss Sarah. Each one of you made a lasting impact on our daughter’s life and on ours as parents.

The rooms are always clean and tidy, and the children enjoy a variety of fun indoor and outdoor activities every day. There are also wonderful weekly sessions like soccer, dancing, and Spanish, which my daughter absolutely loved.

Leaving this trusted and beloved place feels like leaving our little nest. Wishing the whole team continued success and joy — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

My son started at Junior Campus a few months ago. I was so hesitant to let my baby go however these guys did an absolutely AMAZING job at making me feel extremely comfortable in my decision. He has THE best time at the centre & doesn’t want to leave when I come to pick him up! The girls here are so beautiful & always keep me in the loop. I could not recommend this service more! Thankyou guys for all your efforts & support!
