Countdown to Christmas Advent-ure Calendar

For parents, the Christmas Countdown seems to roll around all too quickly but for children, the year is seemingly endless! We all have so many activities planned for and around us. There are concerts to watch, graduations to attend, and the family all messaging in their various ways in the pursuit to 'catch up before Christmas' because for some reason, it's almost like Christmas signals the inability to do anything beyond the New Year!

Someone STOP the madness and let us slow down!

Give The Gift Of Time

Bring the countdown to Christmas back to a wholesome moment with the kids and give them the gift of time each day - even if it's for a moment, this December.

Ok, we're realistic, we know kids want treats from their calendars too but what if the treats came in less lolly form and more moments? We've created a calendar for you to design your own destiny and gift the kids the things you want to, have time for and can dictate your own weeks around your already full December dates.

Download and hang our printable calendar up on your wall this December - we've not only come up with all the gifting ideas, we've left you some blank shapes to fill out your ideas too. Maybe the kids have a favourite park that they love to go to locally or a friend or family member they don't get to see often - you decide how you want your December to look without the sweet-sugary rush, adding to an already excitable month.

Download and Print the December Calendar

Get ready to choose your own Advent-ure!

You will need:

  • Printer, preferably with coloured ink.
  • Laminator (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Blu-Tac

Make it your first Christmas Decoration!

Spend November 30 hanging and deciding your December's destiny when you print and hang the Christmas Advent Calendar. If you want to get fancy and have the ability, run it through a laminator too so you can pack it up at the end of the year and reuse it next December!

Print the second page of shapes with suggested activities for your family. There are some basic, moment-in-time activities here, like 'Tickle time' or 'Have a Hug' but there are also some things that get kids in the kitchen wiith you to make some playdough or head out to the concrete and create some cool chalk art. You might also like to really get into the spirit, slow things down and settle in to watch your traditional Christmas movie - whatever activity you decide is right for your family, pop it on the date you decide you want to participate.

Print the third page of just shapes. This page has been left totally blank for you to fill in your own activities. If you have younger kids that some activities don't suit or a tradition you can carry on with the kids that's perfect to fill in a place on the calendar, now is your chance!
