About Me...
I hold a Bachelor of Nursing, Cert IV (TAE40110), Cert. III in Aged Care, current First Aid and CPR certificates, and vaccination compliance category-A. I also have a ‘C’ class licence and current National Police Certificate, WWC number and Safe Food Handling Certificate.
I have a wealth of experience dealing with children as I have three children of my own. Lucas 20 years old, Alyssa 18 years old and Jordan nearly 17 years old. I have previous experience as a full- time nanny for a little girl from age 2 -3, a boy from eight weeks until three and a half years old, and part-time for a family with three children ages 4,6 &7. I am flexible regarding working hours and organise my personal life to prioritise work commitments.
I was the sole owner/manager of a block of holiday apartments for a period of ten years, and in this role, I carried out all facets of the business. Advertising, liaising with guests, bookings, guest reception, bookkeeping/accounts, cleaning, gardening/maintenance.
I was previously employed by The Conservatorium of Music Mid North Coast as a music educator producing and facilitating the Early Childhood Music Program at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie and by Blue Gum 2 Music Teaching Resources as a Tutor and Band Director for numerous primary schools in the Port Macquarie area. Concurrently, I was employed by Musicorp. as Tutor and Band Director for St Joseph’s Primary School, Taree.
I was previously self-employed as an early childhood music educator producing and facilitating the program “The Magic of Music” within various preschools and early childcare centres in Port Macquarie.
I was also employed by Port Macquarie Hastings Municipal Band as a Musical Director, teaching mature age students as Musical Director for the Adult Instrumental Learning Program and the Blue Notes Ensemble.
I have held a variety of positions in nursing. Homecare nursing as an AIN, ward nursing as an AIN at Kempsey hospital and as an RN at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
My background in nursing, childcare, music education and tourism and hospitality have enabled me to develop a variety of excellent personal/interpersonal skills.
