Own Business 1991-1999 (Melbourne)

I started my own in-home childcare service out of my home in Melbourne. I looked after up to 6 children at one time. Some children would stay overnight.

1999-2002
Employers: Mr & Mrs Grey (Cherrybrook, Sydney)
Children: 1 four month old child.

Tasks included: Preparing fresh vegetables, swimming, toilet training, sleep patterns, general activities.

2002-2004
Employers: Dr. Marian Badgery (Indooroopilly, Brisbane)
Children: 3 school aged children.

Task included: Preparing meals for the children and parents, supervising homework, taking children to and from school, taking children to after school activities such as piano lessons, swimming and horse riding, general household responsibilities.

2004-2006
Employers: Magistrate Jacquie Payne & Andrew Boe (West End, Brisbane)
Children: 6 children, 5 school aged children and 1 at the age of 2.

Tasks included: Preparing meals, house work, taking to and from school and activities, outdoor activities, homework, swimming, help reading and writing for the 2 year old.

2006 - 2008
Employers: Julie & Peter Bitner
Children: new born twins

Tasks included: Sleep pattern, introducing vegetables and other foods, 3 overnights a week and 2 days, toilet training and general activities.

2008-2009
Employers: Dial-An-Angel

In this position I free lanced for numerous families on a regular basis.
2010-2012 (Between 2010-2012 I attend two jobs, I worked for Mr Ambrose for 3 days a week and I worked for Shannon and Nick Rutherford on the other 2 days).

Mr Ambrose: Children: 2 year old twins
Tasks included: Food preparation, toilet training, social activities, general household work, teaching of social behaviour such as manners and teaching Italian.

Shannon and Nick Rutherford: Children: 2 children
Tasks included: Toilet training, ballet classes, outdoor activities, kindergarten pick up, homework, reading, writing, creative activities and meal preparation

October 2012 to February 2013
Employers: Kelly and Mathew Fyfe
Children: identical Baby twins 6 months old boys plus 3 year old William 3 days per week

Tasks Include: Feeding, general activities, sleep patterns and play time. Toilet training, teaching William Italian, lots of reading, outside play and general tidying of the home.

February 2013 – May 2013 (Fridays)
Employers: Mia & Brendan
Children: 1 Year old (Austin)
Mum was home, my main duties were to keep little Austin entertained while mum had a shower went shopping and took 5 hours for herself. I also prepared the night meal. Austin and I played chatted and went for long walks. Austin was learning to speak Italian we read lots and in a short time Austin was putting whole sentences together.

2013 – January 2014
Employers: Hubert and Joanna May (Monday to Wednesday)
Children 7 month old (Leo)

This wonderful family come from Poland no English spoken. My duties were to read speak and teach Leo the English language, to teach Leo to socialize with other adults and children as he was incredibly attached to his parents. I prepared meals for Leo, sleep patterns, encourage and teach Leo to be more independent, helped him learn to participate in activities without being held every hour of the day. He is a delightful child and learned quickly. I also prepared the parents meals and general tidying of the home.

January 2014 to current
Employers: Pip and Conrad Dewing
Children aged 2.8 years old and 13 months old

Duties include toilet training bathing; teaching to read and count, interact cooking teaching Italian outings, organizing learning activities and outings etc. This position ends 1st June 2014 due to mother going on maternity leave.

June 2014 - October 2014
Employers: Doctor Ben & Doctor Katrina Volger
Children aged 3 years old and 14 months old.

Duties included toilet training bathing; teaching to read and count, interact cooking teaching Italian outings, organizing learning activities and outings etc. Reason for leaving was Doctor Katrina had another child and went on maternity leave.

June 2014 - January 2015
Employers: Doctor Katrina Buieniweiser.
Children Elanora aged 13 months.

Duties included toilet training teaching to read crafts teaching Italian organizing outing parks all learning activities. Reason for leaving Katrina is on maternity leave and wishing me to return in the future.

September 2014 - April 2015
Employer: Leah Desenborough
Child Thomas age 7 Monday through to Thursdays from 3 pm to 6pm

My time with Thomas was spent tutoring grade 2 level of aspects of his homework example Maths English Reading and it extended to learning the time trips to the Library for extra reading and learning. Thomas was a wonderful child and learnt fast and well. I also cleaned the home and would cook a meal when requested. I left on my own accord for full time work.

- Showing and enforcing discipline based on the parents views beliefs and guidelines
- Cleaning the family home (Including ironing and washing when children are asleep)
- Preparing meals for both the children and parents
- Doing the children’s laundry
- Bathing the children
- Toilet training
- Taking children on outings which are prior discussed with the parents for permission
- Teaching Italian, dance and swimming (if the parents wish and consent)
