Return to Work Planning

Getting Organised

A practical overview of returning to work - from timing and childcare to finding a rhythm that works for your family.

What flexible work options can I ask for when returning after parental leave?

Returning to work after having a child often requires more flexibility than before. Many parents ask for adjusted hours, hybrid work, part-time schedules, phased returns or temporary flexibility while childcare routines settle. The best arrangement depends on your role, your childcare hours and what support your workplace can realistically offer. You don’t need to have the perfect plan from day one. Many families adjust their work setup over time as they figure out what works best in practice.
