The educators at The Elwood Nest believe in a play-based approach to learning, where children’s interests are fundamental to building a strong foundation for learning, development, curiosity, engagement, and happiness.  

With curated programs for children aged six weeks to six years, the modern approach to childcare will feel cosy, inviting, safe and most importantly fun. Children will experience a sense of adventure as they develop new friendships and enjoy experiences that will enrich their lives. Excursions in the local neighbourhood will satisfy the desire to explore.

The Elwood Nest has 6 rooms:

• Nursery 1: 6 weeks to 12 months
• Nursery 2: 12 months to 18 months 
• Toddlers: 18 months to 2 years
• Junior Kinder: 2 years to 3 years
• Pre-Kinder: 3 years to 4 years
• Kindergarten: 4 years to 5 years

Meet Sian

I am Sian, the Centre Director at Eden Academy Elwood and I helped open Eden Academy in 2021.

My passion is to assist children and staff to learn and grow in a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment. We have created a space that is open to all, where families can be free to openly express their concerns and have a sense of belonging just as their children do.

It has been a great achievement of mine to have been so lucky to have grown within this company, and to direct a centre that feels like a family.

Rigorous Recruitment & Screening - All Eden team members undergo thorough checks — including Working With Children, ID, work history, references, right to work, background, and child protection training — to ensure the highest safety standards.

Ongoing Staff Training - Our educators and leaders regularly complete professional development in child protection, identifying signs of harm, mandatory reporting, and creating safe spaces.

Clear Policies & Procedures - We have strong systems in place for reporting and responding to concerns, guided by our Child Protection Policy, Code of Conduct, and Risk Management and Incident Reporting processes.
