Good school

Not is as it appears with this overrated childcare centre.
I sincerely hope the inflexible late-fee-gouging ways of Sand and Stories Early Childhood Centre, Matraville have changed since my two children attended for two-plus years and that people come before profit and preference.
One mere minute late and many busy working parents like us and several others were slapped with a $100 late fee - each time! What they termed as a "disincentive" for late pick ups.
The owners also urged me into their office for an hour berating me and threatening to terminate my childrens' childcare placement at their Centre on the spot, as my Mum had dared to complain about this so-called disincentive. With the threat of leaving me with no childcare options unless I signed an agreement to never be late for pick up again, not even a minute, I had no choice but to sign and risk losing our childcare placement. Unfortunately, there was a major traffic accident one evening and I was all of two minutes late for pick up- enough call for the owners to have packed our childrens' bags and belongings and telling us to leave then and there. I pleaded with the owners for the children to farewell their childcare buddies at a time to suit them, which was met with a firm "no" and devastated our children - so much for Sand and Stories "value-laden" services and environment!

The best!

Late fees $100 for 5 minutes each day with NO CONSIDERATION. How does that work? The worst day care. Money orientated. Unprofessional service. Beware of the catch.

My three children have been going to Sand & Stories for over 4 years and I can say with complete certainty - it is a tough one to top. The meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness is in a league of its own. All my kids have loved going, the educators communication with parents is incredible and I have always been thoroughly impressed with the education program and the level of care to each and every child. Highly recommended.
