Lynda's House Family Day Care

My service has been operating since 1998. I hold my Diploma of Child Care and have worked in long day care and spent some time volunteering in a kindy program but my true love is Family Day Care. I generally have four small children in care with the occasional school children in on school holidays. I enjoy taking the children out on excursions to playgroup, dancing, library and park larks. Occasionally we do special excursions designed around our current program like visiting the Zoo, SciTech or Museums. When we stay home the children enjoy playing in my dedicated toy room or my back yard which has a huge veranda so has to provide great shelter form rain and sun. I give the children morning and afternoon tea plus a hot lunch when we are home or a lunch ox when we go out.
The scheme I belong to offers me toy library, playgroup, support visits and training which I pay for through a levy system. The administrative support required to process family's attendance records and ensure all government financial assistance is processed correctly , families pay for also through a levy system. The fee I charge covers all except the nappies which I ask parents to provide.
