The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.

Kaya and welcome to Goodstart.
My name is Wendy and I have been lucky enough to be part of this amazing industry for over 20 years, across a number of services throughout this amazing state of Western Australia. I have been fortunate to work my way up to the position of Centre Director having worked across many roles throughout my career. I have been with Goodstart since 2017 and have been blessed find myself at Goodstart Maida Vale and to be working with a company that prides itself on its values and principles.
I truly love what I do and am passionate about giving children the absolute best start to their early learning journey. I believe that the children’s voice is integral in creating quality programs and I find amazement and wonder in following the child’s journey and interest in the world that we create. As part of my role I am lucky enough to be able to mentor and teach educators to enjoy this job as much as I do.
I find it extremely important to create a sense of community for all families that utilise the service as I believe that it really does take a village to raise a child and I look forward to building that village with you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Wonderful Daycare Experience! We are so grateful for the amazing care our children, Robbie and Macy, have received over the past two years. From the very first day, the staff have been incredibly kind, patient, and nurturing — it’s clear how much they truly care about each child. The teachers created such a fun, supportive, and safe environment where they could learn, grow, and make friends. We’ve seen both of them develop so much — not just academically, but socially and emotionally too. Leaving is definitely bittersweet, because this daycare has felt like an extension of our family. We can’t thank the staff enough for their dedication, warmth, and love. We’ll always be grateful for the wonderful start they gave our kids!

Goodstart has been apart of our family’s life for many years! The centre is always clean and well maintained. We always get feedback about our 3 year old on how his day went. He loves it so much that he even asks if he can go on the weekends! Our daycare journey will be winding up at the end of next year due to the new school year starting and we will be sad about not going once it’s over
