I started sending my two children to this centre back in Oct 2024 as we moved to the area. I did notice the older... I started sending my two children to this centre back in Oct 2024 as we moved to the area. I did notice the older reviews on here that weren't so pleasant but my thought is to always do a tour and make your own judgement call. At the tour, I observed the kids who attended were friendly (being confident to come say hi) and happy which is a good sign they're being taught well. Some centres seem corporate but at Dundas ELC it felt like they cared about nurturing social skills which I highly value. It's my opinion and experience these issues from previous reviews must have been due to previous management because since attending Dundas ELC, I can see how hard the centre manager (Kath) works at communicating with families and ensuring staff are trained and up to standards. If you want to feel like a part of a community then I think Dundas ELC is worth enquiring. The educators are friendly and lovely. Always happy to chat at pick-up about what happened with my kids (I have a preschooler and toddler) I also get notifications for all sorts of reasons like if my kids have been coughing all day and/or if they've hurt themselves; there is plenty of communication. Kath is always so quick to respond to any queries as well! Right now I do feel like my kids get some pretty good time with the educators and I definitely feel they care for my kids. It feels like they observe their growth closely But not just the children, they do so many lovely thoughtful things for the parents too like take-home breakfast for parents or packs for colouring in or writing worksheets to keep the kids entertained at home! In summary - my kids love Dundas ELC and I love it too. Read more

I was nervous to start my son at childcare because of previous bad experience in another creche. The team at Dundas ELC let... I was nervous to start my son at childcare because of previous bad experience in another creche. The team at Dundas ELC let us ease into it, provided me with practical advice and my son LOVES it. Since starting his behaviour has improved, he loves learning and playing with his friends. Everyday when I pick him up he says “school is fun!” The team is really passionate and caring. Came back to write this review after transferring my son to a new daycare centre for about 3 months because I just realised... Came back to write this review after transferring my son to a new daycare centre for about 3 months because I just realised how poorly Dundas ELC had been run: My son was there for about a year and a half. I would give 5 stars for the first six months, but after that the staff rotation and management were very messy. There were educators joining and leaving for every three or four months, so the kids had to get to know the new ones again and again. Whereas other centres that I visited have many educators working there for years. There was an extremely unhappy accident. My son’s face was scratched by another kid about a year ago and I received a phone call from one of the previous educators who told us about this accident and claimed my son was ok. Didn’t mention he was bleeding and had several exposing fleshes. When I picked him up, no band aid or antibacterial gel or anything were used for the wounds. There were also other incidents like his finger was clamped by the sliding door and caused fractures, which we had to take him to hospital for a little surgery. And one of the newly joined educator shook my son brutally just because he didn’t want to take a nap even though that educator left right after. Parents should avoid this centre. Read more

We love Dundas ELC. The staff are amazing, my daughter is so happy to jump into their arms in the morning! Our daughter is always... We love Dundas ELC. The staff are amazing, my daughter is so happy to jump into their arms in the morning! Our daughter is always learning something new, and is always guided by her teachers! Teachers are always sharing pictures of our daughter’s day, and will always have 2-3 posts a day. They communicate regularly with us, and always keep us updated if our daughter is sick, or has been injured. They have also been so accomodating when there was payment issues, and made sure they were rectified quickly. Kath is amazing, and always so accomodating when we need something! My son Dev has been going to Dundas ELC for around 2.5 months now. I must say we made the right choice in... My son Dev has been going to Dundas ELC for around 2.5 months now. I must say we made the right choice in sending him to Dundas ELC! The staff (especially Yashora, Arifa, Arezo, Jessica and Chloe) are incredible and they take care of Dev very well. I see very good/positive changes in Dev and I am very thankful to the center and its' staff - thank you! Read more

The management of the childcare service was inadequate, with consistent issues throughout our experience. There was only one competent and effective teacher present,... The management of the childcare service was inadequate, with consistent issues throughout our experience. There was only one competent and effective teacher present, which negatively impacted the quality of education and care provided. Moreover, the frequent turnover of directors within a span of three months created an unstable environment for both the staff and children. Communication was a major problem at the facility. Despite having two children enrolled, we often struggled to obtain even basic information about their daily activities. This lack of transparency left us feeling disconnected from our children's experiences and hindered our ability to engage with them effectively. Another significant concern was the occurrence of multiple head injuries among the children, without any accompanying incident reports. This lack of proper documentation raises serious safety and accountability issues, leaving parents unsure of the circumstances surrounding these incidents and the steps taken to prevent them in the future. Furthermore, there was a deeply frustrating incident where our children were removed from the care facility due to non-payment, despite having made the payment five days prior. Since we paid in advance, it took an entire month of persistent effort, including multiple reports to various organizations, and involving the police, to finally retrieve our advanced payment. This administrative mishap showcases a lack of professionalism and organizational competence. Based on our experiences, we cannot recommend this childcare service to others. The issues with management, inadequate communication, safety concerns, and the ordeal we went through to retrieve our payment all contribute to our lack of confidence in this facility. It's important to share our concerns with other parents, even though we have already reported to the appropriate authorities or regulatory bodies to ensure that the necessary actions are taken to address these issues and prevent similar situations from occurring in the future Read more
