I must admit I was very apprehensive in starting my child at Journey Lucas Rise. I had never had a child at daycare before and was very hesitant. I did tour 5 centres all up and Lucas Rise was the choice. From the moment I walked through the door I felt the anxiety drop. The tour was very informative and I found questions I had were answered truthfully and the facility was clean and smelt beautiful from the chefs cooking. There were no screaming children. I asked was it always like this and they said somedays No. My child started in Nursery and is now in Kinder A and I am so glad I made the choice as my child is happy to be there and everyday wants to go to see their friends and educators. The educators are amazing and very easy to communicate with. The support from Lucas Rise is wonderful. And still to this day I have never heard screaming children from multiple rooms like I have at other centres. I’m glad I made the right choice.

Wonderful caring staff Attentive to my children, great program offered

My children have been here for 9 months. Problem after problem. Firstly, my child is able to go over the front gate and into the carpark - this is an issue that I've had on the first week. Major design flaw and safety issue. Second problem was that there was no baby gate at the bottom of the stairs (double story building) and staff left door open so children can access this area and potentially fall or hurt themselves. Problems with forms, staff allowing my daughter to sleep 5 hours one particular day, my child has their own sunscreen but was being given centre generic sunscreen for who knows how long, difficulty on drop offs where staff don't approach you sometimes I can be there for up to an hour on drop off especially during the first few months of care, pickups usually unprepared and often there are missing shoes/jackets etc. Unreasonable holiday rates/communication flaws etc. There are a small number of staff that are very good and my children have made friends however I would NOT recommend to others. Parents unfortunately have no choice because we have to work and spots are limited but this would not be my first choice especially with the daily rates being so high.

Excellent child care centre, very caring and accomodating staff, super friendly and a great learning environment

We’re so thankful for the amazing care and support at Journey Early Learning Lucas Rise. The staff are so kind, patient, and attentive, and they make my daughter feel safe and happy every single day. She’s especially connected with Trilby and Krizel, who’s always so easy to talk to and great at listening to any concerns. My daughter always comes home excited to share what she’s done, especially after excursions and she absolutely loves them! We’ve noticed such a big difference in her confidence and social skills since she started. I’d happily recommend Journey Early Learning Lucas Rise to any parent looking for a fun and nurturing place for their little ones!

Trilby and Zoe absolute God sends for my kids. Great feedback and support

My girls love Journey Lucas Rise. Sonia, Trilby, Krizel and Sharan have been wonderful in the pre kinder room for my 3 year old and Pim and Chatu have been fantastic with my 5 year old in the kinder room. We love the staff and management at the centre and I would definitely recommend this centre to family and friends.
