Firstly, here is a one star review however, it is too mush for them as that place deserves a zero star review! Our experience with this Montessori centre was extremely disappointing and stressful as first-time childcare parents. Unfortunately, we found the management to be poorly organised, inconsistent, and unable to deliver on several commitments that were made during orientation regarding flexibility and support for our child’s transition. Our daughter attended only 2 out of 8 sessions before we felt we had no choice but to withdraw her due to severe separation anxiety. Rather than receiving a tailored transition approach or meaningful support, we often felt dismissed and were repeatedly encouraged to “just leave her” despite her visible distress. We expected a childcare environment to prioritise emotional wellbeing and work collaboratively with families during difficult transitions. We also experienced communication issues regarding attendance flexibility and childcare subsidy arrangements, which created unnecessary confusion and financial stress. Most concerning, however, was the overall atmosphere and attitude from management, which at times made us feel unfairly treated and not supported in the same way as other families. This left us feeling uncomfortable, unwelcome, and deeply concerned about the centre’s leadership and the impact this environment may have on children and parents alike. A childcare centre should provide professionalism, empathy, transparency, and emotional support for families. Sadly, this was not our experience here.

We were repeatedly told to “just leave her,” even during moments of extreme distress, without appropriate comfort or support. We were also promised flexibility with attendance arrangements during orientation, but despite multiple requests, this was not accommodated. In addition, the childcare subsidy was removed without clear communication, creating unnecessary financial stress. I also felt that we were not treated with the same level of care and understanding as other families. Overall, the experience was distressing and disappointing, and I hope the centre improves its support for children with separation anxiety and treats all families fairly and equally.

Best childcare centre! We are very happy. Our son has developed so well, and the staff are always kind and smiling. We just want to say thank you so so much. 🙏❤️ Unfortunately, we have to move out of the area, and it makes us sad that he has to move to another childcare too. Highly recommended! 👏🏻

Absolutely fantastic child care. Our son attends Montessori and we couldn’t be happier. The team are super friendly, the centre is always spotless, and the most important part is our son’s development has been amazing to watch, almost certainly driven by his learning at Montessori. We’ve experienced other child care and so far Montessori has been the best of the best. Thoroughly recommended.

Wonderful educators who truly care for the children and their development. We feel very blessed that our children have been able to go to this centre. The senior staff are amazing and like a family to us. A great, safe place to see your children develop and grow.

Both my children attended Stokes St and absolutely loved the teachers, facilities and Montessori style. The educators and management always went over and above for them, and we were always kept informed of their progress. It is a lovely centre with small classes and minimal turnover of staff. We would highly recommend Stokes St Montessori.

The educators at Lane Cove North Montessori are extraordinary! They go above and beyond every day to prioritise the children in their care and ensure their safety, happiness and well-being. I personally love their friendly and welcoming personalities! They are always willing to have a chat and laugh with the mums and dads at drop-off. Recently they have also adopted a little bunny Olaf who the children love and adore. Olaf even hops around the kid's beds at rest time and my daughter enjoys picking him flowers before we go to school that he can nibble on. Thank you Montessori for all the love and work you commit to the children 💛

Great little centre with passionate educators, what I am happy with the most is the flexibility the centre can offer and that’s so important for working parents. Sarah is great and always so positive & responsive.

The teachers are friendly and take good care of our child. The facilities and outdoor area is great. Our child only started earlier this year with them and has learnt so much in a short amount of time. They’ve adapted well with all the warmth and joy the teachers give her and doesn’t cry whenever we drop them off. She gets to mingle with the kids from the other rooms in the afternoon and seems to like following them around. Montessori all the way!
