Have recently enrolled a child into this centre. I have been extremely happy with the support and communication from Staff and Management with settling my child into the Centre. I have a happy child, and that is the most important thing.

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Queensland Government-approved Kindergarten Programs
Most Kids Early Learning Centres provide a Queensland Government-approved and funded Kindergarten Program. This ensures that children have access to a high-quality early learning experience that supports their development and prepares them with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed at school. Some centres, especially newer ones, may still be working through an approval process.

Qualified early childhood teachers
Our Kindy programs are led by experienced and certified early childhood teachers who create meaningful learning opportunities and nurture each child’s strengths, interests, and confidence.

Interest-led learning
Supported by influences such as the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we embrace a more active learning approach that fosters curiosity, confidence, and creativity throughout our Free Kindy curriculum. We’re committed to creating nurturing environments where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn, so they can develop the skills needed to ease their transition to school.

Beautiful environments
Every aspect of our Kids Early Learning Centres has been thoughtfully designed. Our nature-inspired spaces and learning environments are built uniquely for each Kids ELC.

Although environments may vary by centre, children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of unique spaces like an Atelier (art studio), water play, adventure playground, quiet retreats, and nature-inspired playscapes. Some of our centres also have veggie gardens, chicken coops, and other pets to help children develop a deeper connection to nature, sustainability, and their surroundings.

Flexible delivery of Kindy
We know every family has different routines. Some children may attend kindy over two days, while others experience it as part of a longer day care program. For eligible families using extended care, the Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) can be used to cover these additional wrap-around hours.

Supporting your child’s school readiness
Our Kindergarten programs are designed to build the skills children need for a smooth and confident transition to school. Through play-based learning, children develop social skills, early literacy and numeracy, problem-solving, and independence, all in a safe, supportive environment. Our educators work closely with families to ensure every child feels prepared, capable, and excited for their next big step into Prep.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

We offer an innovative play and interest-based curriculum, designed and delivered by qualified early childhood teachers and educators, to support children in developing the skills necessary for lifelong learning.

Inspired by a range of respected early childhood learning frameworks including the Reggio Emilia approach, we actively encourage collaborative learning with a focus on each child’s knowledge, abilities, culture, and strengths. Our educators work closely with the children, observing, listening, and documenting their wonderings and ideas while planning for the possibilities of learning.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At Kids ELC Browns Plains, we follow a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to early learning. We see children as capable and full of curiosity. Learning is shaped by their interests, questions and relationships. Educators support this by guiding and learning alongside the children. Through play and hands-on experiences, children explore, discover and grow at their own pace.

We believe the environment is a key part of learning. Our spaces are calm, beautiful and thoughtfully set up to invite creativity and independence. Children are encouraged to express their ideas in many ways, such as through art, music, movement, storytelling and imaginative play. These experiences help them connect with others and share how they see the world.

Relationships are at the heart of our approach. We know that children learn best when they feel safe and supported. They grow through their connections with educators, other children, their families and the natural world. Our educators carefully observe and listen to children, helping to make learning meaningful. By working closely with families, we create a caring and respectful space where every child feels confident to explore, ask questions and enjoy learning.

Ongoing learning is important to us. Our team continues to grow their knowledge so they can bring new ideas and meaningful learning opportunities into the classroom.

New to this centre, not impressed at all. Coming home with nappy rash and poop still on his bottom, he isn't getting enough fluid as he came home Friday dehydrated and not to mention every time he comes home he is starving hungry. This centre has had alot of illnesses in the short time we have been there. Asked Management several times to enter us in ipad system..still not in. I suggest the powers that be visit and go thru the place. More attention to nappy changing, more food for kids, keep sick kids home so they don't spread illnesses...basically actually just follow your own policies and procedures I would imagine...not hard
