We absolutely love Smartland daycare. Our son absolutely adores the educators, they go above and beyond for all the children. He loves the activities, learning and play so much. Facilities are amazing. We could not be any happier :)

Smartland Boutique Varsity is an amazing service! The centre itself is clean and beautifully presented. The staff are nurturing, kind and genuinely care for the children. They go above and beyond to make our boy comfortable and happy. He absolutely loves daycare! We can't express just how wonderful this place is ☺️

We’ve been part of this daycare family since our little one was just 6 months old, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.

All the educators are always so warm, friendly and happy, creating such a positive and welcoming environment for the children. It’s clear that they genuinely love what they do, and that makes such a difference.

We’ve always felt happy and comfortable leaving our little one in their care. We’re confident that she’ll continue to learn, grow and make wonderful memories here until she’s ready to start Prep.

We’re so grateful to have found such a wonderful daycare. Highly recommend! ❤️

Both my kids have been cared for here through so many milestones, and now Lily is in her last year. I’ll genuinely be sad to leave. The familiar faces, little chats and friendships have become such a lovely part of our week. We’re so grateful for all the love and care the team has given our family.

A lovely space hidden away in Varsity Lakes with lovely educators and staff that are pleasant to deal with

Smartland Boutique Varsity Lakes is an amazing little Boutique centre right in the heart of the Gold Coast. Irina and the team at Smartland are extremely loving, caring and put their heart and sole into the centre. They offer incredible learning experiences and all the educators have amazing relationships with the children and their families. Definitely worth a look at this great little centre in Varsity Lakes!

Our child attended Lullaby Early Learning Centre (now Smartland Boutique Early Learning Varsity Lakes) for approximately 2.5 years. For the vast majority of that time, we were happy with the care she received and developed positive relationships with many of the educators.

Unfortunately, our experience changed considerably during the final months of her attendance, ultimately leading us to withdraw her from the service.

Over a period of approximately seven weeks, we experienced three separate incidents involving our child being collected without underwear following toileting. We raised concerns regarding the supervision of our child during bathroom routines.

Following our complaints, the centre conducted an internal investigation. In written correspondence, the approved provider acknowledged that our initial concern had not been escalated to management and identified that existing supervision and toileting procedures had not been reinforced during afternoon routines. The centre subsequently outlined a range of corrective actions, including strengthening bathroom supervision, reviewing procedures and introducing additional monitoring.

While we appreciated that management investigated our concerns and outlined corrective measures, our interactions with the new owner and approved provider ultimately compounded our concerns rather than restoring our confidence. We found these interactions particularly disappointing and were left feeling that our concerns were not being approached in the collaborative, understanding and supportive manner we had hoped for, particularly given that they related to the wellbeing of our young child.

We subsequently referred the matter to the Queensland Department of Education. Following an investigation and internal review, the Department determined there was insufficient evidence to substantiate a breach of the applicable legislation. While we acknowledge this finding, it does not change our personal experience, the concerns we raised or the reasons behind our decision to withdraw our child.

After 2.5 years with the centre, this was an incredibly disappointing way for our family’s relationship with the service to end. We had placed considerable trust in the centre and its educators over that time, which made the experience particularly difficult. Prior to this period and series of events we had been firm advocates for the centre.

We genuinely appreciate the many educators who cared for our daughter throughout those years and wish them all the best. Our concerns relate specifically to the incidents experienced during the final period of her attendance and the subsequent handling of those concerns.

Every family’s experience will be different, but we believe it is important to share ours openly and factually so that other parents can make their own informed decisions.

Lullaby is absolutely incredible. We cannot express just how grateful we are. We feel extremely lucky and so happy that we have spent nearly 5 years at Lullaby with 2 more to go.

All 3 of my daughters have been very fortunate to experience the loving, nurturing and supportive environment the staff and educators create everyday.

The centre is just beautiful and the activities planned both indoors and outdoors are always creative, educational and fun. We cannot thank the educators enough for their hardwork and dedication to our children, for genuinely caring and creating positive learning environments that encourage a real love for learning.

All the children are happy and smiling on drop off and pick-up and the staff are always warm and welcoming, knowing names and filling you in on the day your child had and the fun-filled days to come.

My girls have had the most wonderful years at Lullaby, we cherish their early learning experiences and the beautiful friendships we and they have all made along the way.

I find it hard to put into just a few words how truly special Lullaby is to our family. Both our girls have been lucky enough to attend Lullaby over the last 5 + years. Trusting others to look after your children can be difficult as a parent, however Bec and the team at Lullaby have made it such a beautiful, personal, gentle and positive experience. Going out of their way always to make sure we are supported. Our oldest daughter is now at school and Lullaby still continues to support us with resources to help with the transition into school. We adore all of the gorgeous staff who have looked after our girls over the years and are truly grateful we found Lullaby!

I cannot adequately express in words how grateful and blessed we feel that our Son is going to Lullaby’s. As a super anxious first time Mum, everything about sending our little man to daycare completely overwhelmed me. But I very quickly realised that I didn’t need to be worried for a second. All the ladies at Lullaby’s are the most kind, caring, empathetic, dedicated, incredible (seriously, I could keep going) people, who are beyond amazing at their jobs and have created a top tier centre and overall atmosphere that is second to none. Our Son is loved and cared for in a way I didn’t think possible outside of our own home/family and that care and support is then extended to us as parents (for which I am SO thankful for whilst we navigate new parenthood). Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts
