State Government Approved Programs
Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.

Hello, my name is Christine, and I am the Centre Director at Narre Warren - Pound Road South.
I have been with Goodstart for the past 5 years and prior to Goodstart I previously managed a play center in Bayside, this is when I knew I wanted to continue to work with children. I began as a support educator with Goodstart and then stepped up into different roles over the last few years as a, Key Educator, Team Leader, Safety Champion, Assistant Director and lastly Center Director.
I am in my final stages of studying my Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management.
As a mother I strongly believe all children should feel safe, supported, and always respected. Providing a warm secure environment for all children to thrive and grow socially, emotionally, and physically is important to us as a team. Making strong connections with children, families and educators is something that I seek out and enjoy about my role. We as a center endeavor to work with each family individually to create a quality learning experience for each child.
On weekends and time away from the center I enjoy spending time with family, my adorable fur babies, traveling, upcycling, and gardening.

We’ve had a very positive experience with Pound Road Early Learning, since our son started attending since he was seven months old. As a first-time parent navigating early childhood education, I was looking for a service with qualified, attentive staff and a program that would support both social and academic development—and Pound Road has delivered on all fronts. This year he is attending the 4-year Kindergarten at Pound Road. The teachers are very Compassionate, professional, and genuinely attentive and engaged with the children. They take the time to understand each child’s needs and provide a nurturing environment that has helped our son settle in with confidence. The curriculum is structured yet playful, with a strong focus on early learning and school readiness. It strikes a great balance between academics and hands-on activities, which keeps the children both stimulated and happy. Overall, I’m very impressed with the quality of care and education at Pound Road.
