Based on my personal experience, this is not a day care I would recommend. Following the short-notice closure of Djinda Dreaming in Bedfordale, my family was given just 13 days to move to this Armadale centre. Unfortunately, our experience there led us to seek alternative care as soon as possible. During our time at the centre, I witnessed interactions that I felt were not developmentally appropriate for young children. For example, I observed a toddler (approx 2 years old) being spoken to in a very stern, harsh tone and physical proximity that made me feel very uncomfortable. On another occasion, a distressed toddler (also approx 2yo) was crying and an educator was instructed not to provide comfort by another staff member. These experiences left me concerned about the emotional wellbeing of children in care. I also observed what I considered to be potential safety risks. One afternoon, I noticed a child asleep outdoors on a limestone ledge while other children played nearby. Additionally, I was once asked by an educator to remain at the centre due to staffing shortages, which raised concerns about compliance with staff-to-child ratios. There were also administrative and communication issues. I was charged for care for a child who had not attended (this was later resolved), and my child's emergency contact information was not transferred correctly during the move, leaving the centre without a way to contact me for approx two weeks. While some/most of the educators were warm, professional and clearly committed to the children, I feel the broader leadership and management lacked transparency and effective communication. For example, when I sought clarification from the Area Manager around the relocation and certain processes, I found responses to be reactive rather than proactive. An apology for the handling of the situation was only provided when directly requested. Other families I know who were also moved to this centre have since made alternative arrangements. This review reflects my personal experience and observations, and I share it in the hope it helps other families make informed decisions about early childhood care. Addition to my review following the response from the company; Firstly you spelled Bedfordale incorrectly and your response is not grammatically sound. Secondly, trying to deflect from the instances mentioned by blaming me for not coming to meet with you is ridiculous. Thirdly, 'what more could you do?' If you need someone to answer what more you could do to try prevent any of the instances that are mentioned in this review, then that, in my eyes, is another real concern. Read more

My children attend Djinda Armadale and they absolutely love love love it there. They are always asking to go and never want to come home. All the staff are incredible, they lend a helping hand, show genuine care and love for all the children and families. They have a bus service to help out busy families. The meals and food are all prepared fresh each day and my children are hardly hungry for dinner when we get home. They go above and beyond in providing culturally appropriate experiences and activities for many different cultures. I wish I'd found this centre sooner. If you aren't a part of the Djinda Armadale family you are missing something really special! We love you Djinda Dreaming Armadale ❤️ Read more

Unorganised, uncompassionate, lack of experience. Worst daycare I've ever dealt with. Unorganised, uncompassionate, lack of experience. Worst daycare I've ever dealt with.

I went to the open day at the Djinda Chambers centre in Armadale on 09/09/2023. It was a very well organised event with lots of food drinks and even a BBQ. The thing that really gave me a sense of pride was that they had the local Aboriginal people perform their cultural dances and everyone loved it as they respected their locals. Well done to the entire team at Djinda definitely sending my child there for day care! Read more
