SDN Randwick at UNSW Sydney is for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The qualified team offers a child-centred and child-led approach to their programs in a safe, healthy and stimulating environment. The centre is part of SDN Children's Services, which is a not for profit organisation.
The outdoor space and central playground is surrounded by grassy lawns and gardens for children to explore. Activities include water play, climbing frames and a sandpit for children to play and learn. Children can also feed and care for the resident chickens and help plant and harvest their produce in the centre’s vegetable patches.
Inside, four rooms allow the children time to interact in their separate age groups for specifically targeted learning experiences. The educators also plan opportunities with mixed-aged groups for children to learn from each other. The well-equipped rooms cater to various interests, including building blocks, an inviting library, imaginative play and a music corner.
Centrally located and with easy access to public transport, the centre is well established in the community.
At SDN, your child is supported by our village.
The SDN village is a caring, inclusive, and supportive community, where your child is the centre of everything we do. We give them the freedom to invent, create, explore, and express their true selves, every day. A place where they can use their voices. And when they do, we listen.
We see the whole child and know that children thrive when we support them to grow caring hearts, healthy bodies, and curious minds.
SDN is committed to being a child-safe organisation.
