We could not recommend Goodstart enough. After visiting a few centres and never feeling fully happy, Goodstart met our needs and more. The staff are very professional and accommodating, but the centre also has a strong family feel. The classrooms are well presented, tidy and well lit with natural sun light. The children have access to a wide range of activities and learning opportunities, including lots of outside time. My children are both thriving and very happy.

Thank You to all the staff at Goodstart Bray Park for your lovely service you continue to provide each and every time we walk through those doors. My mind feels at ease knowing I'm leaving my daughter in good hands. The hard work and efforts you all put into looking after our kids to keeping the centre neat and tidy does not go unnoticed. Thank You again and very much appreciated.

My two children are chalk and cheese. One is determined beyond words and very independent. The other shy, has trouble settling in, was speech delayed- the list goes on . With such differing needs, the extent to which staff tailor their interactions with children has been highly noticeable. My children get the support, scaffolded learning and affection they need. It's hard not being with them so that I can work- but I know they're in great hands!

Wonderful staff, very friendly and supportive.

Hello!
My name is Kylie Stevenson and I am your Centre Director here at Goodstart Kensington Way.
I have been working within the Early Years sector for over 22 years and I hold my Bachelor of Early Childhood.
During my career, I have held numerous positions with ABC/Goodstart ranging from Assistant through to Area Manager, as well as working within Goodstart Centre Support Office.
I chose to work with children at an early age, as I wanted to expand the learning and development and offer children many challenging and interesting experiences as possible under my care. I love working with children as it is extremely rewarding to watch each, and every child grow and develop every day in a playing and fun environment as well as getting to know each and every family, making your stay with us as warm and caring as possible.

Our vision is for Australia’s children to have the best possible start in life and our purpose is to ensure children have the learning, development and wellbeing outcomes they need for school and life.
Our Goodstarters are what set us apart - they are guided by our principles and inspired to set new benchmarks for a child's learning and development in the years that count most - the first five years.
Goodstart team

The centre offers a range of programs and services to enrich the children’s learning experiences. Gross motor skills, literacy and numeracy are embedded in the program and are tailored to meet the children’s individual needs, interests and strengths. Pre-school / Kindergarten / PrepPre-school is a planned educational program for children in the years before a child commences school. Children are usually aged between 3 and 5 years of age. Pre-school may take place in a range of settings including a purpose built building, in a community setting, a school, as part of a long day care centre or a mobile or visiting service.
In January 2012 the National Quality Framework (NQF) came into effect across Australia.
The purpose of the NQF is to improve and standardise the quality of child care through a
range of measures including better staff to child ratios, higher staff qualifications
and an assessment and rating system designed to promote continuous improvement.
Under the NQF child care services are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standards (NQS).
The NQS measures the quality of early childhood education and care in Australia. It will cover
most long day care, family day care, preschool/kindergarten and outside school hours care services.
Under these standards child care services will be assessed and rated against the
seven quality areas, 18 standards and 58 elements that make up the NQS.
