I’m very grateful for the wonderful care and support my daughter, Karneet, is receiving at Child’s Play ELC Wyndham Vale. In just two month, she has become so happy and excited to come to school every day, which is truly reassuring as a parent. A big thank you to all the room leaders and teachers from Room 6 and Room 7. Their dedication and kindness make a big difference, and it clearly shows in how happy and comfortable the children are. Thank you Child’s Play ELC for creating such a positive and nurturing environment. We really appreciate all the hard work you do.

About Child's Play Wyndham Vale

Our award-winning early learning centre opened in Wyndham Vale in 2024. We offer a spacious indoor and outdoor environment, a play-based curriculum, nutritious meals, and dedicated educators. With thoughtfully designed spaces and age-appropriate resources, we support each child’s growth and love of learning.

At Child's Play Wyndham Vale we're very proud of our exciting outdoor environment. The children are often found investigating our wooden playground, playing hopscotch, riding around our bike path and putting on performances on the stage.

Our resident gardener Linda; visits us once a week to help us with our garden beds. You'll often find some of our herb cuttings, or vegetables we've pulled up to take home to have with your family. Parsley in particular. Feel free to speak with our chef about recipe suggestions on how to include this week's pickings in your cooking at home.

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At Child’s Play ELC, our philosophy is simple: every child matters. We believe each child is unique, capable and deserving of care, respect and opportunities to thrive. Our centres are guided by values of inclusion, belonging, kindness and respect, creating a place where families feel supported and children feel at home.

As immigrants from the UK, our founders Sam and Ian Johnson came to see childcare as an extension of family. After many years working in education, they dreamed of creating their own centres where children are truly nurtured and families feel deeply connected. That vision lives on today, in welcoming spaces that feel like a second home and give every child the chance to grow into a confident, compassionate learner.

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Our kindergarten program is led by qualified kindergarten teachers who guide children through a rich, play-based curriculum inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. With a strong focus on school readiness, we help children grow in confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Alongside literacy, numeracy and creativity, we celebrate the little milestones that make a big difference: putting on jackets, packing bags and caring for belongings. These everyday achievements, supported by our caring teachers, give children the skills and self-assurance they need to step into school with excitement and pride.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

We know how important it is for families to feel connected to their child’s day. That’s why we use the OWNA app to share updates and messages in real time. You can see what your child is learning, celebrate their achievements and feel close to those special little moments, even when you can’t be there.

This might be a quick chat at drop-off, a detailed update through the app, or a planned meeting. No matter the setting, we make sure you always feel informed and supported.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

We know healthy food fuels happy learning. That’s why our in-house chefs prepare fresh, seasonal meals and snacks daily, designed to give children the nutrients they need to grow and thrive.

Our meals are as diverse as the little learners we serve, featuring a variety of cuisines, including Mexican, Italian, Indian, and classic Australian dishes. Plus, we’re flexible – adjusting our menu based on children’s needs and preferences, making mealtimes a truly delightful experience.

On Friday I needed to send someone to pickup my daughter as my partner was in a car accident, I tried to call 13 times and no answer! I finally got through and was told sorry there all in a meeting, if your going to have a meeting atleast leave 1 person Manding the front desk at all times. (Those 13 calls I made wasn’t just to reception either only 6 of them were) & another negative side is things go walk abouts constantly and nothing is ever followed up! I picked up my daughter from kinder on Tuesday night & the teacher told me they just put her shoes in the box near the door when I went to get them they were gone, we looked everywhere and no where to be seen, at the same time another child had put on the same colour shoes (I’m not saying they are ours but it’s simple to check) and no questions were asked at the time. A post was put out and they said they would call the parent but no follow up! They take photos daily of our children it’s simple to go back on the iPads look at who came with what shoes that day I don’t understand how shoes have gone missing in the 5 minutes of the teacher putting them in the box to me picking up my daughter.. I get toys go missing but shoes.. really.. my daughter had to leave with NO shoes!

We are extremely happy with the care and support provided by this childcare centre. The environment is welcoming, safe, and nurturing, and it’s clear that the educators genuinely care about the children’s wellbeing and development. A special thank you to the wonderful educators — Kazi, Amritha, Neha, Shruthi, and Leela — for their patience, kindness, and dedication. Each of them goes above and beyond to make the children feel comfortable, supported, and happy every day. Apologies if I’ve missed mentioning anyone else by name — the entire team does an amazing job. We truly appreciate all the hard work and would highly recommend this centre to other families.
