Wonderful childcare centre! My children are in the Nursery and Junior Kinder rooms, and the educators have been absolutely amazing. They are caring, supportive, and truly dedicated to the children. The management team is very approachable and always helps to resolve any issues immediately. We have noticed so many positive changes recently, which shows how committed they are to continuously improving. We feel very happy and confident leaving our children here and highly recommend this centre to other families.

Our 3yo has been attending the centre since nursery but we have made the difficult decision to change daycare centres, despite being a convenient 2 min walk from our house. The sum of small issues. When he was around 2yo, our son had issues with an older child and was escalated to head office, we felt this was handled poorly by the centre. End of day/week reports were specific to our child, now they are a generic copy and paste and we have no confidence that meals/drinks/toilet is even accurate - if provided at all. We have had privacy issues, where our contact details and those of other parents were in the open for anyone to take. This was rectified after we raised it as a concern. Poor comms from the centre after any incident made parents feel guilty and instead could have referred parents to the centre's policy and procedure documentation. The centre is more expensive than like centres in the area and the rooms compared to other centres we have toured are bare of play based learning tools. Several times when I have picked up my child, his water bottle was left in another room. We now have concerns that our child is a risk to others kids as he is much older and bigger than kids in the same room (all of his peers had been gradually moved through to junior kinder, while he remains in the toddler room) and due to this policy, he is often separated from his friends and peers as they play in the room next door. We believe that this has led to some behaviour issues at home and months of our child refusing to go to day care. The Kinder program was not enticing enough to consider continuing enrolment at the centre, on balance with other centres, as they have no programs or affiliations with local schools, despite Oakleigh South PS at the end of the next street and Clarinda PS also close by. The educators are, for the most part, great but would benefit from some training in how to have 'difficult' conversations as I have experienced and witnessed these interactions have not gone well. I felt my child was safe and he has certainly learnt a lot through his time at Imagine. This is why I have generously given a 3 star review and not less. I would not recommend to other parents at present and I hope the centre can improve.

I moved my son to Imagine one year ago and it’s been the best decision. He has learnt so much, always coming home and telling us different information he’s learnt about the world or different things his learnt in their art class. The staff are lovely and caring, and engage the children outside with games. My son loves playing ball games with the teachers. Leah, the Manager is very understanding and helpful. Worth doing a tour!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Imagine Childcare Oakleigh South! Our eldest has been attending for over 3 years, and now our youngest has just started in the Nursery. The centre truly feels like a second home for our family. Leah, the Centre Director, is fantastic, approachable, professional, and genuinely invested in every child’s development. Abi, the Assistant Director, is always friendly, organised, and helpful, she makes communication effortless and ensures everything runs smoothly. In the Junior Kinder room, Bijal and Bryony have been amazing educators. They are nurturing, patient, and creative, helping our child grow in confidence and curiosity every day. In the Nursery, Bee and Angela are both so caring, genuine, and nurturing. Bee’s warm and welcoming nature is one of the main reasons we decided to enrol our second child there. Together, they’ve made the transition smooth and reassuring for our little one and for us as parents. And Toni, the chef, does a wonderful job providing healthy and delicious meals with great variety — we truly appreciate the thought that goes into the menu each day. We’re so grateful to the entire Imagine team for creating such a loving, safe, and inspiring environment. Highly recommend Imagine Childcare Oakleigh South to any family looking for exceptional care and early learning.

My two boys have attended this childcare—one has now moved on to school and the other is still attending—and we've had a fantastic experience throughout. The team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and many of the staff have been there for a long time, which really shows in the consistent care they provide. My child especially enjoys the art classes and always comes home excited to share what he’s created. The food is always yummy, and the environment is well set up, clean, and engaging. It’s a place where children feel safe, happy, and encouraged to learn and grow. Highly recommend!

After working in many childcare centres over my years I was very very cautious as to where to enrol our daughter. But when I stepped into IMAGINE South Oakleigh I knew from the get go this was the best of the best, now after almost 1.5years I can say from first hand experience they are the best of the best, our daughter is sassy and gives serious attitude but my word, the staff here are amazing. There is not one person in this centre I wouldn't trust with our girl. Everything from the care, love and attention...the food prepared...the management... The policies... And the communication. Everything is perfect. I am forever grateful to have this team of early childhood professionals helping us shape our daughter for an amazing future. Everyone but special mentions to Bee, May, Carol, Georgia, Abby, Leah and of course the beautiful and amazing Chef Toni. You all are the best of the best and for that I say don't go anywhere else!! This Wonderful team is your perfect early childhood education service for all your little people. 💝

My daughter has been enrolled in here since 2023. I love the staff's dedication towards ensuring children’s health and safety, especially after Leah took over as the centre Director and ensured a higher ACECQA rating for the service. I commend the centre's child safety standards and upholding them with best practice from Leah and the staff members. Highly recommended!
