Children's Garden Kindercare Centre overview
OUR VISION
Childrens Garden Kindercare is committed to providing an alternative form of child care where the early years of childhood are protected and nurtured, into which children are welcomed with love and surrounded by warmth, wonder and wisdom. Our care will give the children the best start to develop a secure sense of personal wellbeing, a love for learning, individual confidence and empathy for others.
Kindergarten Program - two rooms with 20 places for 3-5 year olds - Monday to Friday: 8am 5.30pm
Childcare: Ring o Rosie and Spring Star Rooms, two rooms with 20places for under 3 year olds: Monday Friday: 7.30am 6.30pm
Working towards a better planet, we use biodegradable bamboo nappies and wipes, which take only 2 years as opposed to 500 years of normal nappies to decompose. Bamboo fabric can be 100% biodegraded in soil by microorganisms and sunlight. The decomposition process does not cause any pollution to the environment.
All our meals are provided by the centre and are organic, biodynamic and vegetarian. We have gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegan options.
The programs are a rich combination of indoor and outdoor domestic/farm-like activities and free play woven together with intentional teaching or planned activities. In Ring-o-Rosie the program centres around a strong rhythm that includes indoor and outdoor play, meal times, singing, story time, simple art and crafts and sleep. We keep it calm and simple for our littlest ones.
In Spring Star children are learning quickly to run and climb and are given the opportunity to exercise their developing gross motor skills on excursions and through a greater variety of activities that may include baking, painting, gardening, crafts and longer stories and singing circle times.
In our Peppercorn and Fig Tree Kindergartens the program includes excursions further from the centre, more complicated verses, finger plays, stories, cooking, paper art, beeswax and clay work and longer time in free-play. Children acquire the basic foundations for all the social sciences, language, creative thinking, mathematics, music, arts, problem-solving and negotiation etc. in a play-based curriculum with educators dedicated to ongoing learning.

Children’s Garden KinderCare has been a true blessing for our family. Our child has been attending for the past four years, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and support we’ve received. The teachers are dedicated and nurturing, they also create a safe and enriching environment where our child has truly thrived. The management team is incredibly supportive and always goes above and beyond to make families feel welcomed and heard. We feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful place for our child to grow, learn, and be loved. Read more

We had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this center. After doing two tours and attending three orientation sessions, we chose this centre for our son because they assured us the room had more educators and a calmer environment—something that aligns with our son’s needs. They offered us three days per week, and based on that commitment, we gave notice to our son’s previous child care provider. To our complete shock, just days before he was meant to begin, we received a phone call saying his spot was no longer available because children with “higher needs” had taken up the capacity. No prior warning, no alternative, and no responsibility taken. Thanks to their incompetence and poor management, we are now left without any child care for our son next week. We are working parents who now have to scramble for solutions due to their inconsiderate and unreliable conduct. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable and shows a serious lack of professionalism and respect for families. Read more
Thank you for your feedback, it is very unfortunate you have left out information in your application and you have not paid the required deposit and bond payments that are over due. This communication is deeply disrespectful, and your lack of transparency was not honest. You were told there was no vacancy after the tour, and again on the phone, then you called to book in the orientation without having been given a place. The in person interview demonstrated, our centre was not a good fit for your family. Sometimes this is the case, and we are very sorry the position you have found yourself in. We understood you were still enrolled in your old centre on Thursdays, as mentioned, and would be able to pick up the required days. Kindest regards, CGK Management.

Children’s Garden Kindercare is a magical place full of caring and wonderful educators and staff. We are still pinching ourselves that we found such a lovely environment. They make the transition from home to care such a positive experience for children and parents because of the nurturing and loving approach they adopt. It is an oasis right next to the city full of beautiful playing spaces, natural toys, organic food and friendly faces. Cannot recommend highly enough! Read more
