I chose Little Assets because of the immediate sense of community I felt. I was looking for a space that embraced diversity and felt truly inclusive. Seeing how the educators interacted with the children and how much the centre felt like a supportive, multicultural family made the decision easy. It felt like a place where my son wouldn't just be cared for, but where he would truly belong. Initially, my biggest concerns were the standard ones: Will he be safe? Can I trust these strangers with my son? I was looking for a team that felt like family. Looking back, I’m so glad I chose Little Assets. They’ve been a safe pair of hands from day one, and as my son’s needs have evolved with his global developmental delay, their commitment to him has only grown. They’ve gone from being his educators to being a vital part of our support system. The educators and leadership team are truly part of our village, right alongside grandparents, aunts and closest friends. They’ve been there for my son’s journey from seven months old to two years old, and I trust them with my whole heart. What stands out most is their dedication to his growth. Their support for his developmental needs has been incredible. From helping with his physio exercises to facilitating an OT and speech therapist to go in to the daycare setting, they go above and beyond to make sure he has everything he needs to thrive. I couldn't ask for a more dedicated or trustworthy group of people. There is a wonderful sense of longevity here; it’s rare to find a centre celebrating 15 year staff anniversaries! To me, that says the leadership truly values their team. When staff feel supported and happy, that energy flows directly into the care they provide. It creates a stable, loving environment where my son can build deep, meaningful relationships with the people teaching him every day. I have complete confidence in the safety and care at Little Assets. It’s clear that protecting the children is their absolute priority. I really value that the team is constantly participating in new workshops and training; it shows a level of commitment to best practices that gives me total peace of mind as a parent. I know he’s in the best possible hands. One of the primary reasons we chose Little Assets was their genuine commitment to diversity. As a person of colour, it’s incredibly important to me that my son grows up in an environment where his heritage is celebrated. I love that the educators don’t just acknowledge different backgrounds - they truly embrace them. They understand that every child has unique needs and are incredibly accommodating in ensuring every family feels like they belong. My best advice would be to book a tour and really take the time to speak with the leadership team and the educators. More importantly, watch the children who are already there: seeing how happy, engaged, and settled they are tells you everything you need to know about the quality of care provided.

We are excited to share that a new Indian Classical Dance Program will be starting at Little Assets as a regular incursion for our children. Phoenix Dance Studio will be introducing children to the beautiful classical dance forms of Bharatanatyam and Odissi, which are rich in storytelling, rhythm, and cultural expression. Through these sessions, children will learn: • Basic steps and movements of Indian classical dance • “Mudras” (hand gestures) and expressive storytelling • Rhythm, coordination, and musicality • Confidence through movement and creative expression This program has been thoughtfully introduced as part of our commitment to creating a culturally rich and inclusive curriculum. At Little Assets, we believe that meaningful learning experiences go beyond the classroom, and incursions play an important role in bringing learning to life. Through this dance program, children will be immersed in the beauty of Indian culture in an engaging and age-appropriate way. Our goal is to ensure that all incursions are not only enjoyable, but also purposeful, culturally meaningful, and enriching. Experiences like these help children develop confidence, creativity, coordination, and an appreciation for diverse cultures and traditions.
At Little Assets, having onsite Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Dental Visits helps make life easier for busy families while supporting children in a familiar and comfortable environment. Children often feel more relaxed and confident receiving support within their known surroundings, alongside trusted educators and friends. This can help create more positive experiences and smoother transitions during appointments. For families, onsite services save valuable time by reducing the need to travel to multiple appointments, organise time off work, or disrupt daily routines. It also allows for stronger collaboration between therapists, educators, and families to support each child’s learning, wellbeing, and development in a holistic way. Convenient, supportive, and child focused all within the comfort of your child’s early learning environment.
At Little Assets, weekly Robotics and STEM incursions are offered across all age groups, giving children exciting hands on opportunities to explore Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through play based learning. Children are learning valuable skills such as: Problem-solving and critical thinking Creativity and innovation Early coding and technology concepts Teamwork and communication Engineering and construction skills Confidence in experimenting and exploring new ideas Through age appropriate robotics activities, building challenges, sensory exploration, and interactive STEM projects, children develop curiosity and a love for learning while preparing for a future driven by technology and innovation.
