Programs
Our service is designed to inspire curiosity and creativity in every child. From our purpose-built outdoor areas to the engaging, hands-on activities, we offer children a space where they can play, explore, and grow.
- Dedicated Outdoor Spaces: Each room has direct access to its own outdoor area, meaning children can move freely between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day. The open-door policy allows for constant exploration and sensory stimulation.
- Messy Sensory Play: We encourage children to get messy! With mud pits, water fountains they can turn on and off, and creative sensory play, we make sure that fun and learning go hand-in-hand.
- Freedom of Choice: Children are given the freedom to choose where they want to play and what activities they want to engage in. This fosters independence and decision-making skills while ensuring they feel in control of their learning.
- Sibling Play Time: At Story House, siblings can play together during the day, strengthening family bonds and providing children with familiar faces throughout their learning journey.
- Community Connections: Our excursions are designed to connect children with their local community. Whether it’s a walk around the neighbourhood or a trip to the local café for baby chinos, we’re building ties with the world around us.
Parent communication and involvement
Parent communication and involvement
We believe in creating a close-knit, supportive community where both children and parents feel valued. Here’s why families choose us:
- Personalised Care and Communication: We take the time to engage with families beyond just education. We have real conversations about your child’s life and needs, ensuring that care is personalised and meaningful.
- Orientation with Heart: Our orientations are relaxed and thorough, allowing families to take their time exploring the premises, meeting our team, and asking questions. Our educators sit in on every orientation to help families feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning.
- Regular Updates & Communication: Parents appreciate the regular updates we provide via our ‘Story Park’ app - meaning families can stay connected throughout the day. Live routines and photos help you feel involved in your child’s experiences.

Health and Nutrition
We’re proud to have Chef Hitomi, a talented chef with years of experience in high-end restaurants and hotels, as a key member of our team. She is passionate about providing delicious, healthy food for the children, and her background in Japanese cuisine adds a unique touch to our menu.
- Sugar-Free, Wholesome Meals: No sugar is added to the dishes, instead focusing on fresh, nutritious ingredients. Hitomi introduces the children to a variety of cuisines each day, expanding their tastes and encouraging adventurous eaters.
- Healthy Snacks and Treats: From sugar-free zucchini-chocolate cake to cakes made with vegetables like beetroot, the delicious creations are both healthy and loved by the children.
- Interactive Mealtimes: Chef Hitomi is an active participant in mealtimes, serving the food and engaging with the children. She encourages them to learn about their food, and even teaches cooking lessons, such as making sushi, moon cakes, and tacos!
- Community Dining: We believe in the importance of mealtime as a community activity. We encourage children to eat together, practice sitting down to meals, and engage in conversation — all while enjoying delicious, healthy food.

We approached SH Reservoir after a friend recommendation and turned out to be the best decision ever. My child enjoyed the abundance of toys. In the old centre, my child never had a chance to ride the bike as there were only two of them for the entire childcare and SH literally has enough bikes for one each per child. The outdoor space and little drive through is perfectly designed. My child also has grwon so much since joining SH. The food is simply amazing. I have never seen this level of high quality food served from any childcare centres. I can honestly say it feels like they don't have a limit budget for the food. My child's reading skills has also improved so much and made so many little friends. My child is simply thriving since we joined SH. Thank you SH. Read more

We transferred from another centre where it was on news for not paying stuff on time and never paid a cent of super and resources were below poverty. When we did our initial inspection, it was like walking into Disneyland. The amount of good quality toys and sensory plays was sensational. My son was wondering around like Alice in wonderland. Without any hesitation, we decided to joint StoryHouse Reservoir. Unfortunately my old centre required unreasonable 4 weeks notice. During these four weeks, my son asked on a daily basis when are we going to Story House. It was the longest four weeks. After we started, the quality is simply beyond my expectation. From the centre director, to all educators to the amazing over qualified Chef, I cannot ask for more. Please see the photos of the food served. Chef is so passionate in providing the most nutrious meals as well as involving children in learning about food. The educators provide regular updates and responds to every single inquiry. The toys and facilities are regularly maintained to the highest standards. My son’s verbal communication and social skills has developed so much since joining Storyhouse. My son simply is thriving. As much as I really want to keep Storyhouse to myself, I really want to share my amazingly positive experience. There are so many centres where the company does not treat educators right or the high turnover due to underpayment. Storyhouse has been awarded as “ Great Place to Work” for 2024. As a women and as a mother, I cannot ask for more. Cannot recommend enough. Read more
