My daughter was at this centre for 12 months, and during my time there, on multiple occasions, I caught educators giving children iPads to play on and watch YouTube. This was addressed in an email and in a meeting with the centre director, who apologised, but they continued to let happen.
Staff are often on iPads with their backs turned to the children and/or have children sitting on their laps “logging” instead of actually interacting with the kids.
The favouritism shown by educators towards their own children who attend the centre is a lot, whether it’s letting them sit on their lap at the front desk, giving their own children lollies, or allowing them to hang off them in the outdoor space. This throws ratios off and means educators can’t properly focus on the children they are responsible for.
Staff turnover is extremely high. Not even the chefs seem to want to stay at this workplace. When it comes to my children, I am not comfortable with random agency staff coming and going and not knowing who is actually looking after my child. The inconsistency at this centre is concerning!!!
Just to add, there were 3 price increases in 12 months.
Our kids deserve better than this. We pay for a service for our children to learn, not for them to have screen put infront of them & educators not interacting.
The staff look burnt out and exhausted. The children run riot, and there is little to no control.
Leaving this centre was the best decision I made. I had already submitted my two weeks notice, and while they offered to waive it, as a working parent it wasn’t something I could afford to do, even though I would have loved to take them up on the offer to get my child out of their sooner!

Hi Shannay,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not reflect what we aim to provide, and we understand how important trust, consistency, and meaningful interactions are for families.
At our service, iPads are used purposefully and in line with the EYLF v2.0 and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline. They are not used as passive entertainment, but to support children’s learning, research, and documentation. iPads are also required for important regulatory tasks, including recording attendance, and mandatory reporting of children’s injuries and illnesses.
Educators are expected to remain actively engaged with children at all times, and the use of technology is monitored to ensure it supports, not replaces, quality interactions. All staff are required to follow supervision, ratio, and professional conduct requirements under the National Quality Framework.
We also want to clarify that the two-week notice period was waived as a goodwill gesture in response to your family’s concerns, however this offer was declined.
While we’re disappointed to hear this feedback, we respect your decision and wish your family all the best. We remain committed to reflecting on feedback such as this to continuously improving the care and education we provide.
