Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. They are encouraged to take the lead, developing their negotiation, risk taking, problem solving and social skills. Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.
Goodstart Early Learning employs qualified and skilled educators who are dedicated to making a difference to the children in their care. Hi there. I’m Janine and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Gawler South.
I have worked in the in the early learning industry for more than 29 years, starting my career with this company in 1995. I have a Diploma of Children’s Services, and I have been the Centre Director at Gawler South since 2007. My time in the industry has given me the chance to work across all early learning age groups and it has led me to develop a philosophy where we aim to be an early learning environment that values and respects all children, families and educators.
It’s where there is a clear line of communication and a solid relationship that a child is given the best opportunity to grow and develop as a lifelong learner.
I believe the first five years are the most important in any child’s development, and I have great pleasure in helping today's young children to develop the skills to become the strong, independent leaders of our future. I encourage the families at this centre to have a voice, share their ideas and join in the learning with their child.

We have had a very positive experience with Goodstart Gawler South. 🤗👣 The educators are caring, attentive and genuinely interested in each child’s wellbeing and individuality. They always call the children by their names and treat them with kindness, respect and attention. 💛 After Selina received her 18-month vaccination and experienced some side effects, the educators carefully noticed changes in her behaviour and contacted me to make sure everything was okay. As a mother, this meant a lot to me because it showed how closely they pay attention to each child and how much they truly care. 🧸👣💖 I also appreciate how the centre values and respects different cultures and each child’s background. 🌏✨ I have seen educators from different countries and cultural backgrounds working there, and I believe this is very enriching for the children because it helps create an inclusive, respectful and welcoming environment. 🤝🌈 I really appreciate the communication, patience and dedication of the team. It is clear that they value the individual needs and wellbeing of every child. 💖

Highly recommend this amazing centre! Recently moved my daughter to this centre after her previous childcare was unexpectedly shut down. They were able to accommodate all the days of care we needed and she started immediately. All the staff are so friendly, helpful and so caring towards my daughter! They keep me updated through the story park app on how her day is going and all her learning progress. They definitely made the transition very smooth for my daughter and she absolutely loves going to childcare now! Highly recommend to everyone ☺️☺️☺️
