Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. They are encouraged to take the lead, developing their negotiation, risk taking, problem solving and social skills. Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.
Goodstart Early Learning employs qualified and skilled educators who are dedicated to making a difference to the children in their care. Hi there. I’m Janine and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Gawler South.
I have worked in the in the early learning industry for more than 29 years, starting my career with this company in 1995. I have a Diploma of Children’s Services, and I have been the Centre Director at Gawler South since 2007. My time in the industry has given me the chance to work across all early learning age groups and it has led me to develop a philosophy where we aim to be an early learning environment that values and respects all children, families and educators.
It’s where there is a clear line of communication and a solid relationship that a child is given the best opportunity to grow and develop as a lifelong learner.
I believe the first five years are the most important in any child’s development, and I have great pleasure in helping today's young children to develop the skills to become the strong, independent leaders of our future. I encourage the families at this centre to have a voice, share their ideas and join in the learning with their child.

So far our experience with Goodstart Gawler South has been excellent. The dedication and care from all the staff has made our family feel supported and reassured that our child is receiving the best care. Since the beginning of our child's journey with Goodstart they have made sure that we are supported at every turn through communication, kindness and the patience that our child needed while settling in. After only a couple of months we're now seeing so much more confidence, new skills and a willingness to explore and learn. We’ve had such a lovely experience at Goodstart Gawler South. From the moment you walk in, the entire team - from the front desk to management to the educators - make you feel genuinely welcome and supported. The staff are incredibly kind and patient, especially with our child who needed a little extra time to adjust.
