Both of my boys went to Gumnut Grove a few years ago and the care they received here is the best. I can't praise the girls enough, they are amazing. Gumnut Grove is a Council run center so you know the educators are well trained, certified and experienced to the highest standards, not teenagers straight out of UNI or TAFE. Staff are up to date with emergency procedures, children's safety and nutrition. You can rest assured your children will be safe and looked after really well. Pricing is also reasonable and not excessive. 10/10 good center, give it ago.

Our family is so lucky to have chosen one of the best centres in the area. Our child spent almost three years here and had such a wonderful time. He was taught with love and grew with confidence. The centre director is amazing—she is kind, caring, and always supportive of families. The teachers here are outstanding. Because the staff turnover rate is very low, my child was able to see the same group of teachers every day and build very close relationships with them. They truly listen to him, and his language developed very well here. He learned good manners and grew into a child with a kind heart. Many of the staff have more than ten years of experience in the field. They are very patient with the children and always listen to what they say, which is extremely important to me. I would like to say thank you again for taking such wonderful care of my son. The centre also organizes many meaningful events, and the teachers put so much effort into them, such as Mother’s Day, Grandparents’ Day, and the most memorable one—the graduation ceremony. You gave our family so many beautiful memories. I highly recommend this centre to other families. This is a place you truly can’t miss out on.

Our family has been incredibly happy with this council-run daycare. Both our middle and youngest children have attended, and we will genuinely be sad to leave at the end of the year. It is a true community environment where educators feel like a second family to our children and consistently demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality care. The centre consistently meets all government and council standards, adhering to rigorous requirements, and thoughtfully incorporates the Early Years Learning Framework through a holistic, play-based learning approach. This is evident in the way children are supported to explore, build confidence, and develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively at their own pace. Many staff members have worked here for over a decade, which speaks volumes about the stability, culture, and professionalism of the service. Communication and organisation are excellent, and the environment is transparent, hygienic, and thoughtfully structured to support children, families, and educators alike. We especially value the informative newsletters, which provide evidence-based insights into child development, nutrition, and local activities—an added level of care that truly goes beyond expectations. The recent upgrades have been wonderful, creating a larger, more engaging space that our son loves, with the freedom to easily explore different areas. We are deeply grateful for the care, professionalism, and strong sense of community this centre provides, and I highly recommend considering it as part of your childcare journey for its quality, community, and exceptional value.

A very reliable childcare centre. Both of my children attended this centre at different times over the years. Most of the educators have worked here for more than 10 years, which shows the stability and dedication of the team. They genuinely care about the children and put their hearts into teaching and supporting them. My kids loved the educators and enjoyed attending this centre so much. Unlike other childcare centres where staff change frequently, this centre offers consistency and trust. I highly recommend this childcare centre.

I have known this center for ten more years . I got 4 grandchildren learning here . The staffs here are very friendly to us . Thanks to everyone working here , they do amazing jobs.

Absolutely terrible centre! Do not recommend at all. With most staff (with the exception of maybe two or three) they are extremely unmotivated, lack compassion and don’t genuinely care for the kids. I observed workers being sarcastic, forceful and quite aggressive towards the kids, so I can only imagine how they are when parents are not around. The educators are extremely lazy and don’t want to do any meaningful activities with the kids. They want them to just play on their own with no direction or involvement, then complain if kids get bored and act up. I suggested educational activities which was met with defensiveness and rudeness. The centre is also quite dirty. My children now go to a great centre, so I strongly recommend you go elsewhere.

The people who work here really care about the children and are really friendly. It's a great place for your child to get ready for schooling years to come
