Our family has been part of this community for a long time. We have been here for over two years ourselves, and my sister’s children have also been attending, which places our family here for a total of seven or eight years. We actually travel 10km every single morning and afternoon specifically to come to Guardian Cherrybrook. Despite having over 10 local daycares much closer to home, we stay here because of the quality of care. The claims about recent management shifts and staff turnover simply do not align with the facts or the timeline suggested by others. In our time here, the staff has been remarkably consistent. While we have seen a management shift firsthand, it was not within the timeline these other reviews suggest, and the new leadership is even better. They are incredibly hands-on (not that they weren't before) and any minor concerns we have raised are quickly resolved, with obvious and clear internal team communication. To raise privacy concerns - there have been minor incidents between my child and her cousin where it was completely obvious who was involved, yet the team absolutely refused to admit or say names to maintain protocol. If they aren't going to tell me it was my own sister’s child, you can guarantee they take privacy seriously. Every morning we arrive to find multiple activities already set up and a variety of breakfast options ready. On that note, the chef has an unmatched level of appreciation for the kids and it shows in every meal. The premises, equipment, and playground are constantly evolving, often a fresh and changing environment for the children. We feel the love and effort from the staff - from your usual day to their planning around every calendar event, the thoughtful arts and crafts that come home and the invite to share the event with our little one. This is a stable, nurturing, and genuinely child-focused environment. Thanks Team!

We have been part of the Guardian Childcare Cherrybrook community for some time, but the latest shift since 2026 in management has drastically changed the environment. Under the previous director, the center was genuinely childcare-centric, prioritizing the well-being and development of the children above all else. Unfortunately, the current leadership team appears to have completely lost sight of this core mission. It has become increasingly apparent that the new management is far more concerned with superficial showcasing than with providing authentic, high-quality care. The focus seems to have shifted entirely toward curating an appealing outward image for prospective families, while the day-to-day reality for the enrolled children is noticeably lacking the warmth, stability, and dedicated attention they deserve. This lack of genuine care is deeply exacerbated by the continuous turnover of educators. There is a revolving door of staff and a heavy reliance on casual workers, which disrupts the crucial consistency and routine that young children need to thrive. It is impossible for educators to build meaningful, trusting bonds with the kids when the faces in the room are constantly changing. Furthermore, communication with the current leadership is incredibly frustrating. When concerns are raised, the feedback provided is rarely constructive. Instead of working collaboratively to find solutions, management tends to deflect, pushing criticism and responsibilities back onto others. There is a distinct lack of accountability and an unwillingness to address the very real issues occurring within the center. A childcare center should be a safe, nurturing, and stable environment, not a place where appearances are prioritised over the children themselves. Until there is a fundamental shift back to a genuinely child-focused approach, I cannot recommend Guardian Cherrybrook to other families.

We have had such a positive experience with Guardian Childcare Cherrybrook and I cannot speak highly enough of the team. The educators show genuine care, patience, and compassion every single day. It is very clear how much they truly invest in the children, not just in meeting their needs but in helping them feel safe, supported, and valued. Since starting, I have seen such a significant change in my daughter. She has grown in confidence, developed beautiful manners, and become a happy, independent little girl. This has been especially evident recently as she transitions from the baby room into the toddler room. It is so reassuring as a parent to know she is in an environment where she is encouraged to learn, explore, and be herself. The communication from the team has also been fantastic, and I always feel informed and included in her day-to-day experiences. We are incredibly grateful for the role the educators have played in her development and would highly recommend Guardian Childcare Cherrybrook to any family looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their child.

It’s been about a year since my daughter started attending Guardian after we moved interstate. At first, we chose this centre because it was close to us, but now we’re so happy with it that we’d continue coming here even if we moved out of the suburb. The centre is clean, safe, and has great spaces for the kids to play and learn. The educators are skilled, friendly, and always helpful, they’ve really supported my daughter in feeling comfortable, especially with potty training. The centre management team is approachable, responsive, and always willing to help whenever we need it. Overall, we’re very happy with the centre, and most importantly, my daughter loves going there.

My child was at this centre and I was really happy with everything. The educators are kind, caring, and great with the kids. The director is always smiling, approachable, and very professional. My child would always come home talking about everyone at the centre. The programming is engaging and well thought out kids learn while enjoying their time. Overall, a clean, well-run centre. I strongly do not recommend this childcare centre. Our experience raised serious and ongoing concerns about professionalism, supervision, and overall management. Firstly, I were extremely uncomfortable with how our child’s personal information was handled. There were situations where information about our child appeared to be shared with other parents. This is unacceptable for a childcare environment and raises serious concerns about confidentiality. Secondly, the level of supervision and guidance was far below expectations. During pick up times, the environment often felt chaotic and uncontrolled, with children left to manage themselves and very limited direction from educators on appropriate behaviour. It did not feel like a structured learning environment. I also observed that the childcare center director had very little visible engagement with the children. Most of the time, she remained in the office, often on her phone or with headphones on. There was minimal interaction with families or children, and even basic details, such as correctly addressing children’s names in communication, were not handled carefully, which reflects a lack of attention and responsibility. In addition, some staff interactions made us increasingly uncomfortable. Communication was often repetitive and intrusive, with the same personal or family-related questions being asked multiple times, even after we had already provided answers. This felt unnecessary and inappropriate, and no clear support or solutions were offered. I also noted that some educators had their own children in the same group they supervise, which raised concerns about fairness and equal attention to all children. Finally, I observed that photo taking appeared to be staged. Groups of children were rotated in and out purely for photos, which disrupted their routine and did not appear to prioritise genuine learning or engagement. Overall, this experience did not meet even basic expectations for a childcare centre. I have since withdrawn our child, and the difference in care at another centre has been significant. Based on our experience, I strongly advise other parents to seriously reconsider before enrolling their child here.

Absolutely the worst child care centre. My child suffered a whole time. Director is the main problem and the attitude towards kids cascade down to all the educators. Do not waste your time with this centre. Many issues were found by the department of the education.

Highly disappointed with the management and operational standards at Guardian Cherrybrook. Ended up with withdrawal after a year of declining service quality, high staff turnover, and cost-cutting measures. The leadership was disconnected, often using AI-generated responses to parents enquiries and showing a lack of genuine care. Most concerning were the privacy breaches (sharing confidential info with other parents) and the persistent pressure to sign up for support programs that medical professionals deemed unnecessary for our child. Since moving to a different provider, my child is thriving, proving that the environment here was the primary issue. Proceed with caution.

My son has been attending Guardian Cherrybrook since he was under two years old. From day one I have felt happy and confident with the care the educators have given him. He loves going to Guardian and has made so many friends. I can see the learning and growth my son has developed over the years thanks to the team at Cherrybrook.

A few days ago, I booked a tour of the centre and brought my children along. During the visit, I let them play in the yard. However, I witnessed something very disturbing. Two white boys, who appeared to be older than the other children, began chasing my 4-year-old daughter. At first, I thought they were just playing. But when they caught up to her, they stretched out their arms to block her path so she couldn’t get through. What was even more troubling was that these two boys seemed to have "followers." Whatever they did to my daughter, two younger Asian boys and one Asian girl would copy them. I saw multiple instances where all five children surrounded my daughter, shouting at her in a provocative manner and preventing her from moving forward. My daughter was frightened and had to hide behind me several times. There were three educators present, but none of them intervened. Perhaps they assumed it was just normal play among children. However, with closer observation, it was clear that this was not the case. I didn’t step in right away because I wanted to observe how both the children and educators would respond. Later, my daughter went to sit next to one of the educators, but the two white boys immediately followed her. They surrounded her again, making aggressive gestures and loud noises, as if it were a game. My daughter looked uncomfortable and covered her ears, yet the educator still did not react. It wasn’t until I approached and asked the boys to quiet down that the educator finally told them to be quiet. Even as we were leaving, the two white boys continued to follow us, making faces and strange noises. I don’t believe this was a case of curious or friendly interaction from children meeting a stranger. We’ve decided not to choose this centre, but I believe it’s important to bring this incident to your attention. This is the first time I’ve seen such a clear hierarchy and group dynamic among children in a childcare setting. I believe there is a real risk of bullying developing in this environment.
