Bargara Service: Today the Kindy children made the cutest forest fairies from different nature items. Carefully they used the hot glue guns to glue each nature element together, creating their very own unique forest fairy. 🧚 At Creative Kids, you will also observe subtle opportunities for children to engage in moderately risky play within the rooms. These may include activities such as using ceramic dishes or porcelain tea cups in the home corner, or utilizing hot glue guns for crafting. These activities provide excellent opportunities for children to learn and practice safety precautions under the careful supervision of educators. #careforkids

Bargara Service: Turtle visit 🐢 Today Kindy had a lovely visit from Mon Repo Turtle Centre. We learnt that females can be identified by the size of their tails. We learnt how turtles hatch and also lay their eggs. We also identified that by picking up our rubbish it can help protect the turtles. After our visit, the Kindy children made their own turtles with the clay. Recalling on information learnt earlier. The children also enjoyed pretending to be little hatchlings moving towards the sea. 🌊 Where did this interest come from, and why did we invite the Ranger into Kindy? Our visit from the Turtle Ranger followed a keen interest the children have shown towards learning about sea turtles. Earlier on, a Kindy friend found a turtle picture in a book and this became intriguing to others and more friends wanted to see the picture also. Kindy then took the book to the art table and used paint to create their own turtles. At group time, Miss Bri shared a video of baby turtles hatching that she saw at the beach with her own family. All the children children really loved watching the hatchlings move towards the sea. 🌊 #careforkids

Professional Development Opportunity: Starting off the weekend this morning with a beautiful bush tucker tasting session with Dean and his daughter from Bush Tucker and Earths Magic. The very interactive session was filled with opportunities to taste a huge variety of bush tucker ranging from the refreshing juice from the leaves of the Gumbi Gumbi tree to nibbling on the berries from the salt bush. We are excited to welcome Dean back to our environments to assist us with creating a bush tucker garden in both of our Creative Kids services. Dean will also be working along side our kindy cohorts to deliver a 8 week informative and hands on bush tucker program. Exciting times ahead. #careforkids

Children learn best by doing, and the tools they use to explore and create the world around them can teach them valuable lessons. At Creative Kids we emphasize the importance of using hands in the process of learning and discovering. #careforkids
