It was my sons very first child care and he had his upper and lower lips cut at the very first day, the following week was no better, he complained about someone pushing him and had his knee being hurt. No incident report reported to us and the following week he still complained about his knee being hurt and we had to take him to ED straight from child care . Spend three nights at hospital and when we inquired they have not even recorded the incident record. Finally decided to take out of there for good.
Hi Tashi, the safety and wellbeing of children is always our highest priority. The statements made in this review do not accurately reflect the events that occurred. During enrolment, there was an incident of a slip and lip bump on an obstacle course. This was addressed immediately, contact was made on the day, with an incident report completed in line with our policies. Our records show of correspondence for an existing sore knee from an external incident. Our educators and staff are committed to maintaining clear communication with families and ensuring all incidents are documented and shared in accordance with regulatory requirements. My child is very happy at Goodstart Early Learning Garran, and we truly appreciate the care and support the team provides. The director, Assunta, is very knowledgeable and always keeps us updated. The staff consistently go above and beyond to provide exceptional support and care. The outdoor space is fantastic – plenty of room for the kids to play and enjoy themselves. I especially want to thank Anum and the team for their efforts in making my little one feel so comfortable and settled. Keep up the great work – we couldn’t be happier with our experience here!

My kids have been there for more than 2.5 years, excellent service, lovely teachers, very caring, now that we moved just last week, we really miss them all, we miss the director, Assunta, who is very knowledgeable, pleasant and caring, I trust them with my kids and highly recommend them.

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Garran is conveniently located behind Canberra Hospital, within walking distance to CIT and Woden Plaza. Our large car park makes drop-offs and pick-ups safe and stress-free.
Inside, each room from Nursery to Kindergarten/Preschool is designed in line with the Early Years Learning Framework. We focus on sensory and play-based learning, ensuring a stimulating environment where children can grow, develop, and prepare for school.
Our Storypark platform, family nights, and newsletters keep communication with parents open and clear, allowing us to tailor programs to each child’s needs, interests, and strengths. We celebrate the cultural diversity of our families, which includes Chinese, South American, Aboriginal, African, Indian, and Thai backgrounds, enriching the learning experience.
Outside, our three play areas feature sandpits, vegetable patches, a fort, cubbyhouses, and big trees, encouraging environmental awareness and sustainable practices. Meals are prepared on-site by our qualified cook, ensuring children enjoy healthy, fresh, and nutritious food.
