Choosing a childcare centre for my son was something I was incredibly anxious about. I worried he might be left behind or not fully understood, especially with his ASD. From the moment we started here, those fears began to fade. Merran, the director, is so hands on and genuinely creates a warm, welcoming environment and that care clearly flows through to every single staff member. The educators have been absolutely amazing with my boy. They are patient, understanding and truly take the time to connect with him. It honestly feels like they just get him. Being part of the STaR program has also been incredible. Watching him slowly come out of his shell and begin interacting with other children has meant the world to us. As an anxious mum, I truly couldn’t have found a better place for my son. The educators in the Jnr Nest room are nothing short of amazing and I’m so grateful we found the right fit for him.

She eagerly looks forward to heading out to class each day. There is a genuine sense of community fostered by Merran and the center is exceptional in handling children who need special attention. Her philosophy of community shines through in everything the centre does — from weekend Easter picnics that bring families together, to heartfelt fundraisers supporting families in need. Tabatha, a key member of the leadership team, greets every child by name and her energy is infectious; it’s clear the children adore her. The management also stays ahead of emerging issues in the childcare sector, responding thoughtfully and putting effective measures in place. I highly recommend Explore & Develop Baulkham Hills to any family looking for a place that truly prioritises children’s wellbeing and growth in a caring, connected environment.

Unfortunately, our time at this child care centre was sort of disappointing. Although the centre has some fantastic educators who they really care about kids, some are very impatient. We noticed, time that some educators talking with intimidating tone with kids, which we had to talk and calm our kids for a few hours once he back home. Some educators must be more paitent with kids and consider their actions and tone, impacts their kids confidence.
