Perth Early Learning School
Perth Early Learning School Centre overview
Perth Early Learning School is a WA family owned and operated early learning school, caring for children 0–5 years of age. Our school has been carefully and thoughtfully planned and designed to enhance your child’s learning experience in the fundamental years of development through caring, engaging, enriching environments where your child is encouraged and supported to explore and learn in their own unique way.
The school has three, home-like spacious rooms that offer a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences, Nursery, Toddlers, Preschool which all connect to our unique one of a kind designed outdoor play environment. From the bow of our custom-built playground boat, your child will be able to imagine and create a world of their own, while looking out over King’s Park, The states war memorial, and the Swan River.
We pride ourselves on our child-focused approach to Early Childhood Education, where each child is nurtured to create confident, involved, active citizens of tomorrow. As part of our family, we encourage families to deliver feedback to help us improve our services practices to ensure we are reaching best practice and exceeding in areas of importance to you and your family.
Our early learning school is located at the Capital Square precinct named Mia Yellagonga and is easily accessed via Mounts Bay Road and Spring Street with secure undercover parking located in the Wilsons Parking complex, with direct access to the freeway from Spring Street for ease of commute.

My child has been attending the Perth Early Learning Centre for some time, and I couldn't be happier with the new facilities and the exceptional space they provide. It’s truly impressive. The care and attention that the educators demonstrate daily are outstanding. They offer an app that keeps us updated throughout the day on everything involving our child, including nappy changes, ensuring we feel informed and confident that our children are well cared for. The environment feels welcoming and very family-oriented, reflecting the centre's commitment to this concept. I can’t recommend this centre highly enough based on my experience. Read more
Dear Megan, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, our Educators utterly love playing, creating close bonds and guiding all the children in their individual journeys in our school. We can’t wait to see how he grows and does amazing new things. Kind Regards, Management

To be fair, my child did not go there, but I have seen the child care centre, and I would not leave my child there for the following reasons: 1) The baby room does not have a window and no connection to the outside area (edit: there is a covered glass wall on one side) 2)The baby room was planned to have more than 20 babies in one room. 3) All rooms are connected, so imagine the level of noise that your child will be exposed to. When I was there, there were about 5 children playing and it was loud. 4) The only outside area is for older children, and it's right next to the freeway. So all in all, I do not believe this centre was built with kids in mind. I still gave 2 stars because I could not judge the quality of the educators. Edit: Reading the response from the management, there are some fair points raised, on which I think people can decide for themselves. However, I have never received any monetary reward for my reviews, and I would be surprised if there is one after less than 30 reviews in total. Read more
Good Morning Ma, Thank you for your feedback. Even after knowing the fact that you are a Google Local Guide and you earn financial rewards from doing your reviews, I am still going to reply genuinely. To answer your 1st point, the baby’s room does in fact have a floor to ceiling glass doors and window panels with the length of over 8 meters x 4 meters high where the sun directly filters through our one-way glass for children’s privacy and UV reduction. 2) The Nursery room can accommodate 24 babies at one time and will have one qualified staff to every 4 babies with spare staff to help support the younger babies. In terms of space, we have over 187 square meters of internal space just for the nursery room and an outside area of 200 sqm. The total space is equivalent to a medium-sized family home which hopefully should be enough for our cute babies. 😊 3) Our open room schools are designed intentionally based on our previous feedback from children, parents and educators from our sister school. More importantly, we use a well accredited design approach by Dr. Maria Montessori, to ensure our school rooms are aesthetically-calming, natural resources, open floor plan with resources at children’s height, purposeful and flexible learning spaces with a warm inviting minimalist decor. This allows children to be feel calm less anxious, warm, relaxed and allows for autonomous learning. More importantly, children see the other rooms next to them and get comfortable, familiar with the teachers, children and environment, which makes it a smooth transition when they move up to their new room. 4.) Being in the city centre, it is hard for anyone in the city to be away from the main roads and cars. We all share the same air space and thankfully Perth has one of the best air quality in the world. In saying that we use the Air Quality Index (AQI) before heading out to play to ensure the air quality is good enough for our children to play. Today’s current reading in the Real-time Air Quality Index (AQI) is rated as Good, so everyone in the City would experience the same air quality today. To increase the air quality in our school we have 20 Pine trees outside in the addition of two larger trees from the level above us. This helps filter most of the air in the outdoor play area, producing fresh pure, clean oxygen for our wonderful creative little minds. Inside the school we have fresh air that gets mechanically vented and filtered for pollutants with large commercial filters, this air then gets filtered again with our 23 large indoor plants. To be extra cautious we shall acquire a new device that can rate the AQI inside the school to help confirm the air quality inside the school. I am sorry the school did not meet your expectations this time, however I am hoping that you reconsider your thoughts after visiting other schools in the city and see the quality difference that our WA privately owned school provides. We wish you all the best in your search for an ideal school for your child. Thank you, Management
