The qualified educators at Oldfield Early Learning Centre believe that children should be treated equally, they acknowledge and respect all social and cultural backgrounds.
Educators ensure that children feel safe, secure and supported in their learning environment and feel a strong sense of identity and belonging. Children are treated as individuals who have unique abilities and interests that are supported to learn life and academic skills through play and meaningful interactions with others.
Strong family partnerships are built at the centre with educators understanding that parents and caregivers are the foundation of a child’s growth and development.
About the curriculum

About the curriculum
Oldfield Early Learning Centre supports children’s learning and development through the nationally recognised Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). This framework understands that children learn and explore through play and children’s understanding of the world develops through communication, discovery, imagination, and creation.
The EYLF aims to develop in children a strong sense of identity, connection and contribution to their world, a strong sense of wellbeing, confidence and involvement in learning, and effective communication skills.
To prepare children for lifelong learning foundational skills are developed in literacy, numeracy, social and emotional, languages, art, science and motor development.
The centre has five classrooms, to ensure that children receive the correct support and attention for their age group.
