My son had a wonderful experience here for four days a week for most of a year and was happy to go every... My son had a wonderful experience here for four days a week for most of a year and was happy to go every day. He was much better behaved at Alpha than at home! The educators (particularly Maria) have all been lovely and helpful and we were very sad when it came time to move on. Highly recommended to anyone. Read more

We've been at the Alpha for nearly a year now and all I can say is it is nothing like what I expected... We've been at the Alpha for nearly a year now and all I can say is it is nothing like what I expected it to be. When we move to Melbourne I was looking for somewhere cosy for the kids to settle into and as a bonus to give them some extra exposure to Greek. What I got was much more than that. I have not had a single day of the kids complain about having to go to school, not one day of tears as I drop them off, educators and staff that have taken an interest in each of the kids as well as the family life outside of daycare, a friendly group of parents and kids and two settled and learning 4 year olds. There's always something fun and interesting going on whether it be different animals, activities, or concepts. They’re also now little preachers – “think green, healthy body, heathy eating = healthy teeth” or “no we can’t have that now, we will have to brush our teeth because it will cause plaque” or “we need to put that in the recycle bin” or “we should plant more trees for fresh air”. Giving feedback and observations is not just a report, it's live and given to you daily whether it be from their main educator or others in the centre. I cannot believe how quickly the kids have picked up Greek! From barely understanding it to now singing songs, understanding, and even speaking here or there even if it doesn't always make sense. The fees are reasonable, better than most and while they don’t have the space, shine and modernity of some other centres, the homely feel and creative ways of using the space they have more than makes up for it. I don’t go home wondering if my kids are missing out on something, I know they are safe, being looked after and best of all growing and learning by a truly engaged group of teachers/educators/support staff. I have two boys who have attended Alpha from 12 months of age and I cannot praise the centre enough. The carers are... I have two boys who have attended Alpha from 12 months of age and I cannot praise the centre enough. The carers are true carers, I never walked into the babies room without seeing them with arms full , either cuddling , feeding , settling .. their hands are always full catering to the babies' needs. The food at the centre is not only delicious but healthy and prepared in house .. I see reports that my kids have eaten not one but 2 sometimes 3 bowls of either lamb and veg, lentil soup, spanakopita , spag bol .. some mornings when doing drop off, the smell from the kitchen makes my mouth water. My eldest is currently completing his second year of kindergarten with Angela and Eleni .. we decided to hold him back with their wise council, he was young and not socially developed, he is reserved and shy by nature and we have seen an amazing transformation this year . Our son has developed beyond belief in terms of his confidence, he is a leader in the classroom and because of his kind nature has made many friends this year and he is now ready for prep next year when he will turn 6. My youngest is in year 3 kinder and came home last week telling me to think green , he tells me what we should recycle and that we should use the small flush button for wee and the big flush button for poos ... at age 3 he knows about recycling and how to minimise wastage ... they teach them and they celebrate diversity of cultures, expose them to learning different languages which is a massive gift for their developing brains .. I literally could not ask for more .. I will miss going to Alpha when my kids are at school .. truly wonderful.. Thank you everyone at Alpha , we 'heart' you ! Read more
