We’ve had a fantastic experience with Goodstart Hawthorne! The staff are incredibly warm, patient, and attentive to each child’s needs. From the moment we toured the facility, we felt welcomed and confident in their care. The classrooms are clean, bright, and full of engaging, age-appropriate toys and learning materials. Our child has grown so much socially and emotionally, and we’ve seen huge progress in language skills as well. We especially appreciate the daily updates and photos through the parent app—it really helps us feel connected to our child’s day. Special events like bee days and nature day also make it fun and memorable. We highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing and well-organized child care center.

We have had a great experience at Goodstart Hawthorne. The staff look engaged with the kids and management are super friendly and welcoming, my son settled very quickly into the Nursery room – he smiles as soon as we arrive! The outdoor play area is spacious, and he especially loves the sandpit. We have had limited sickness which is another reason we picked this centre. Staff turnover is low, which speaks volumes about the centres culture. Thank Kate and the team for caring so well for my son!

We feel incredibly fortunate to have our little one enrolled at Goodstart Early Learning Hawthorne. The intimate size of the centre fosters a warm, family-like atmosphere where we feel confident in our little one's safety. The procedures for managing allergies are impressively thorough, and the staff have consistently reassured us of their ability to mitigate any risks. Our little one genuinely loves attending daycare and has formed positive connections with the educators. We are particularly impressed by the variety and quality of activities that the educators prepare. Their ability to seize spontaneous opportunities—like playing in the rain or building cubbies based on the children's interests—shows their commitment to nurturing creativity and engagement. We also appreciate how children are encouraged to be independent during meal times and nap times, teaching them invaluable life skills. Communication from the centre is excellent, and we feel well-informed about our little one's daily experiences through regular updates. Centre Director Kate and Assistant Director Kritika are always present, exuding friendliness and approachability, which adds to our sense of trust in the centre. Overall, we highly recommend Goodstart Early Learning Hawthorne for anyone seeking a nurturing and enriching environment for their child.

It's an easy 5 stars from me - my son joined the Goodstart Hawthorne family when he was 15 months old - he's just turned 5 & soon to graduate from this wonderful kindy to start prep next week. Kate (the director) and her wonderful team have nurtured, played & educated my son every step of the way. They've created a supportive environment where he's made great friendships, learned through fun games, and always felt cared for and safe. I couldn't be happier with the boy he's become - he'll be stepping into school like a boss & it's all thanks to this incredible team. Don't think twice about sending your child here- it will be one of the best decisions you make!

I am so grateful that we found Hawthorne Goodstart. Kate is the director and her team of professional and talented educators have been a great fit for our 2.5y.o daughter who is does 4-days a week in Senior Toddler. We moved to Brisbane from Sydney almost a year ago and I applied to several childcares in advance. Hawthorne Goodstart stood out as the best value for money - professional, hard-working, friendly, safe, good humour, and down-to-earth culture. I get the sense that there is something special about this particular goodstart centre. I hear stories about other Goodstarts in Brisbane that sound nothing like the high quality of care we get with Kate and her staff. The renovated chapel gives a warm homely feel and there is plenty of space indoors and outdoors as well as chickens. The educators know their stuff from the detailed posts on Story Park about their observations of your child and how they are tailoring your childs learning programs. The staff are very polite and appear to love their jobs which is a sign of good organisational culture. The other parents are also very kind and sociable with the odd get-togethers throughout the year. Highly recommend having a tour.

Our family is very happy with this daycare. The quality of care is the best, the educators are genuinely invested in the children’s happiness, wellbeing and learning. The director is amazing and has created a great little community. The facilities are clean, very rarely any illnesses, and communication between families and staff is frequent.

My daughter has been attending Goodstart Hawthorne since she was 15 months old (now 22 months) and we love it. The director (Kate) & educators have all been so approachable, caring and supportive of my daughter and the other little ones. The environment is lovely and clean with decent indoor & outdoor areas (with chickens and a veggie patch!). The daily programme follows the same structure however activities are varied which is great for curious little learners & adventurers alike. Highly recommend!

A great, nurturing environment for children. The carers and educators are experienced & caring, you can see their genuine passion about children’s education. The centre is clean with spacious outdoor play areas, a veggie patch & chooks. I love that it’s play based learning as well. I have seen my children blossom and grow during their time there. They love the educators, and have made some wonderful friendships. They’ve learned so much and I love that their focus on school readiness is not limited to academic achievement but on a more holistic approach - improving a preschooler’s ability to do things independently & communication skills with peers & adults so they can navigate prep confidently. PS I felt it necessary to address the review about the children going to the Centre & getting scrapes. In my humble opinion, I think children will have accidents and/or minor scrapes when they play. It will happen at the Centre no more frequently than it would if your child is under your own care (provably even less than in other care centres) as this is part of a young child’s learning journey. Any incidence is addressed promptly as appropriate (I get a call immediately or a report at day end pickup) & I’ve observed the children treated with care & cuddles whenever they have a fall or scrape.

The team of wonderful Educators have been nothing short of amazing with my children.Such warm and welcoming natures reside at this homely centre and my children love attending.Miss Kate the new Centre Director has kept me informed from the very start,and raises any concerns very quickly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for playing the role of our extended family
