What stood out for us at KU Lance were the teachers, the ethos and the physical environment. Together, they create a calm space for children to initiate activities that spark their interest. Children can move, at will, between the indoor and outdoor spaces while remaining safe and supervised. This meant our active, inquisitive child had many happy hours (across the week) playing in the sandpit, in between taking part in organised activities devised by the wonderful staff, including science experiments, cooking, mixed-media painting, digging for treasure, yoga, play-dough, sensory play, water-play and so on. Individual special interest activities were also provided for our 2 year old who loves numbers and letters.
In addition to novel experiences, children always had access to puzzles, drawing tools, books, a play kitchen, toys and toy vehicles as well as the care and support of their teachers. Music, singing and dancing were daily activities, also. We really felt confident that our child could express herself at KU Lance.
She was clearly engaged each day in interesting activities, and bonded well with her care-givers. We could see that the children expressed care for each other each, too. Other unique features of KU Lance include the onsite cook, who prepares wonderful fresh meals, and a pet bunny who is fed kitchen scraps by the children. We are sorry we had to leave and are so grateful for the 12 months of care and education our child received there. Five stars!
My son attended the care when he was three+. But after a while we just didn’t feel right, he was constantly missed in group photos, not seen in team activities, barely seen in parent updates photos and crying in the morning not wanting to go. He was the only Asian face in the toddler room that time. Now he’s close to 6 years old. One day we walked by the place he just said the teacher (he called his name) was so rude to him and asked him to shut up many times when he was trying to explain things. I could not imagine how hurtful he felt and sadly he still remembers. It has very good rating but maybe have a second thought if you are Asian.

Feel like home. Very creative environment with diverse arts & crafts, walks to Barangaroo park and even chicken on site ;)

Our son attends this daycare and he loves it. He calls it “chicken school” because they have a chicken coop and a rabbit. The facilities are a great and it feels like home. Great outdoors in the middle of the city. The staff are great, very nuturing and always happy to go the extra mile for your LO.
If you’re looking for a childcare centre that feels like home, you’ve just found it.
staff is great and understanding, educational contents are adapted.
Thanks for the great work
Amazing staff who really care and fantastic director in Donna! Both our boys went/go here and we truly believe Donna, James, Cass, Agnus and the rest of the amazing team have helped the boys so much in their early days. I would highly recommend KU Lance.

Care for Kids review
Would recommend to a friend
Amazing childcare center. You would never expect such a center and such a setting in the middle of the city. Three big amber trees to provide shade and a connection with nature, views over the harbour and the most loving and supportive staff you could imagine. My daughter loves going here and I am often tempted to just stay as well. The atmosphere is never stressed or hectic, no matter how many kids are running around. The instructors are extremely skilled in what they do and excel at supporting the kids development. I can't recommend this center highly enough!

I've had two children go through KU Lance and have been so happy with their care there. Beautiful trees providing shade and connection with natural environments, views across Barangaroo Reserve and the harbour, and long-standing, experienced carers who really care and help to guide the kids so well, with all natural resources.
They have worked hard to reach an 'Exceeding National Standards' rating and this really shows.
