Leaving your child in someone else’s care is one of the hardest things as a parent… but Central Park Early Learning Centre made it easy for us. From the very beginning, we felt comforted by the warmth of the educators and the positive environment. You can truly feel the love and care the team has for every child — it’s not just a job for them. Our child is happy, comfortable, and actually excited to go every day — and that means everything to us as parents. Seeing that smile in the morning and knowing our child is safe, supported, and valued gives us a peace of mind that words can’t fully explain. What we appreciate most is that the educators take the time to understand each child personally. They are patient, gentle, and always encouraging. We’ve watched our child grow so much emotionally and socially — becoming more confident, more independent, and more expressive — and we know this growth is because of the dedication and genuine care of the team. The centre is always clean, well-organised, and welcoming. Communication is also really good — we feel informed, included, and supported. The Mind and Move program is a holistic wellness curriculum designed for children aged 2-6, focusing on nurturing a healthy mind, body, and soul. Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the program integrates the ‘Munch & Move’ initiative to teach vital healthy eating and physical activity habits. Through a mix of sports, music, mindfulness, and STEM education, it provides a fun, educational environment that equips children with the skills they need for a lifetime of well-being.
A vital part of our program is educating children on the importance of environmental sustainability, just as it is necessary to take from the environment it is just as important to give back to the environment and to care and nurture for it to ensure it's preservation.
One of the key methods of doing this is allowing the children to pick herbs from our garden to be given to our onsite cook as part of the ingredients used in meal prepping. Then afterwards any organic waste left over from meals can then be thrown into the compost bin to be recycled by decomposing and providing nourishment to plants as soil.
As part of our learning program we provide three multi-lingual classes. Children have the opportunity to learn the basics of the Italian language.
They not only learn the basic letters and numbers of this language but also learn about their unique culture and way of life to really give them a true perspective of the cultural diversity of our country and to respect people of all backgrounds.
We always try to guide children towards healthy eating habits, and by implementing cooking classes into their weekly program we are not only teaching them an important life skill, but also teaching them to make intelligent food choices. These classes are also lessons that teach the children responsibility, and will help them be keen on trying new dishes because they make it themselves.
