Our 5-month-old daughter attended a 2-hour trial at this daycare. About 10–15 minutes after my wife picked her up, she noticed a lump on our daughter’s head. We were not told about any incident at pickup, which immediately raised concern.
After we contacted management, they reviewed CCTV and advised that while a carer was supervising her, our daughter was attempted to be sat up despite being unable to sit independently, and she fell forward and hit her head. This incident was not reported to us at the time, and our daughter was very upset when collected.
What was most disappointing was the response from management. Rather than acknowledging the issue, we were told we were “overplaying the incident” and that it was “only a small brush”, despite the fact it resulted in a visible lump on our baby’s head. There was no immediate communication, no empathy, and no reassurance, which is extremely concerning for parents of an infant.
Accidents can happen, but lack of reporting, poor communication, and dismissing parental concerns are not acceptable — especially when it involves a non-mobile baby. Trust and transparency are critical, and unfortunately, this experience has left us very disappointed and concerned.
