Our son was very well cared for by the ladies at Little Voyagers. We were so nervous to start daycare but were reassured on every front through their actions. The staff were meticulous with hygiene and their practices (our boy was rarely ever sick!). He was in a small tight-knit group of other children his age and had his every need catered for, even outside the regular schedule. The only reason we left was because we moved out of the area. Highly recommend this place ❤️

About Little Voyagers Early Learning Centre Chifley

Welcome to Little Voyagers Early Learning Centre Chifley!

A Holistically Informed Approach to Early Childhood Learning

Little Voyagers believes that children obtain the best educational experience through a healthy balance between play-based and structured learning, which is at the centre of our educational program and curriculum. Designed by an Early Childhood Teacher in consultation with Certificate III and Diploma-trained educators, our curriculum takes a holistic approach to education. Recognising that children have individual emotional and developmental needs, we nurture and encourage emotional, social, language, cognitive, physical, and creative growth.

Drawing upon the Early Years Learning Framework, we take a child-centred approach and utilise intentional teaching to support each child’s learning journey. Children are encouraged to express their ideas, interests, and opinions, creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Through play and social interactions, children develop important life skills such as resilience, independence, cooperation, curiosity, and confidence.

Our educators take a genuine interest in the development of each child, focusing on their strengths, personality, and interests to create meaningful learning experiences. Educators use open-ended questioning and responsive teaching strategies to extend children’s thinking and promote exploration and discovery.

Child safety is embedded in every aspect of our practice. At Little Voyagers, the safety, wellbeing, and protection of children is our highest priority. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse, harm, and neglect and actively uphold the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.

We are committed to creating a safe, secure, and supportive environment where every child feels respected, protected, and empowered, and where all children have the right to feel safe, be safe, and be heard.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

Little Voyagers Programs are based on the NSW curriculum framework, as created by the Department of Community Services.

Central to the Framework is the understanding of children’s lives and their connection to family, community, culture and place. Through our programs, we aim to instil a sense of belonging, being and becoming within every child under our care. We recognise that children have strong family, community, culture and place connections which are established before birth. Throughout early childhood, children are exposed to new ideas and concepts through interactions with their family and the wider community. Little Voyagers recognise the family’s role as the original and most influential educator in the lives of children, and we encourage involvement at every stage of your child’s journey. Through participation in our programs and everyday life, children embark on a quest of discovery whilst establishing a lifelong love of learning as they navigate their way through the world.

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Starting school is an important milestone, and the transition can be both exciting and challenging for children and families. Through our School Readiness Program, we support children to develop the confidence, independence, and foundational skills needed to make this transition as smooth and positive as possible, giving them the best opportunity for future success.

Our educators nurture children’s natural curiosity, interests, and strengths within a supportive and engaging learning environment. We focus on building essential school readiness skills such as communication, social interaction, problem-solving, self-help skills, and emotional regulation. These skills help children feel capable, confident, and prepared to participate fully in their new school setting.

A key component of our program is our School Readiness Book and our purposefully designed School Readiness Curriculum, developed by our educators to support children’s social and emotional development. Through this curriculum, children learn to recognise and understand their emotions, build resilience, develop positive relationships, practice problem-solving, and learn strategies to manage challenges. These experiences help children build emotional confidence and strengthen their ability to cope with new situations and transitions.

At Little Voyagers, children develop strong self-confidence and resilience, along with the foundations necessary to succeed both at school and in everyday life. We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning by supporting each child’s physical, social, and emotional wellbeing and encouraging them to try new experiences and challenge themselves.

We understand that adjusting to new routines, expectations, and responsibilities can feel overwhelming for some children. For this reason, we gradually introduce school-like experiences, including group times, structured learning, following instructions, developing independence, and building responsibility. By familiarising children with these expectations ahead of time, we help them feel prepared, confident, and excited to begin the next stage of their educational journey.

My daughter attended little voyagers for only a year, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The educators are warm, patient, and genuinely care about the children. Communication was excellent, and we always felt confident leaving our child in their care. She has learnt so much and formed beautiful friendships in just a year and thanks to them our daughter is now ready to start primary school this year. We highly recommend little voyagers Chifley to other families.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have had Little Voyagers as part of our daughter’s life for the past four years. From the very beginning, the care, attention, and genuine love shown to her has been exceptional. She has always been kept safe, supported and truly known as a person never a number. Beyond excellent care, they have played a huge role in helping her develop a strong sense of self, kindness toward others, and confidence in expressing her emotions. Her emotional needs have always been met with patience, warmth, and understanding, which has made a lasting impact on her wellbeing. At the same time, her educational development has been thoughtfully encouraged, helping her grow curious, capable, and eager to learn. We will always be deeply grateful for the positive foundation they have helped build as she heads off to school and cannot recommend them highly enough
